I was in bloodtide coast trying to complete events and came across one bugged event after another. One of the skill chalenges is also broken so right now no one can complete this map.
For me it was not surprising because since very first zone i have come across 2 to 3 broken events and everytime someone complains about it in chat is instantly flamed to death. So today when i read this in chat it reminded me so much of these forums and general sentiment of how people think and feel when someone complains or is critical of GW2. I couldn't help but smile.

Sorry to hear you are having so many problems with the game. Bloodtide Coast is a fun area, but I can see how it could be frustrating when you're experiencing one bugged event after another.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

Its all right i moved on today to another zone (came across another 2 broken events just in beginning) . So no biggy. I just wanted to share the screenshot because that comment reminded me so much of these forums.
It seems that not all servers share the same bugged skill challenges, so if you're after them for world completion, you can server hop to one that has it unbugged and return fast now that it's still free.
The process is almost instant and the only thing you need to do is restart the client.
What is happening right now is that ArenaNet is going longer and longer between server restarts since the game is becoming less buggy overall.
The longer they go before a restart, the more chance that a small or obscure bug in an event will be exposed...so after several days of server uptime, we are seeing lots of events get stuck due to bugs that weren't exposed before. When they were restarting the servers every night, all events reset and run great for a while.
These bugs will be shaken out and fixed before long...just keep reporting them. They are likely going to continue to increase the time between server resets, so we're definitely going to see more bugs in the short term.
I'm also in Bloodtide Coast at the moment, and I've probably done 10 bug reports on various things...mobs getting stuck, events getting stuck, events not working as intended. All of which I believe are exposed due to more uptime.
That made me chuckle... I highly doubt he reported anything in a bug report.

"Laugh and the world laughs with you. Weep and you weep alone."
Well that makes perfect sense... Haha, the longer the game runs the more bugs you find... You would think that was what the beta was for, but of course they didn't HAVE a beta, they had an event...
That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!
Did you report these bugs, or did you just come here to post?
Regarding the broken skill chalenges : If you can't complete in real server, then complete it in overflow.
I notice if can't be done in one mode it can be done in the other one.
They are still fixing this but could take some time.
Is it a rule now we have to report bugs?
I dont see the guy complaining about bugs... mabye in an obtuse way but it looks like hes just poking some fun at fanboys.
I'm seeing a lot of complaints about bugged events in game as well. Sure they are incredibly jarring and bring you out of the excellent experience of the game when you come across one. But whenever I found a bugged event, I just moved on. It's an occasional occurrence that doesn't hinder the expererience too much and not all that often.
Something else must be said, and it's probably been said a hundred times already but apparently people don't really get it because people are STILL complaining about bugs in this game. Is this game is ground breaking in it's "questing" design. It's not some WoW clone that already has the ground work prepared for it by an 8 year old game. It's a complex system that has been pioneered by Arenanet. Of course it's going to have kinks to iron out. The game is still in it's infancy being less than a month after release. These problems will get ironed out over time no doubt about it. And it's not like Anet is charging anybody monthly.
Who knows, honestly it comes across as a thinly veiled ploy for "internet attention."
Logic would denote that if you "really cared" you would report bugs as you come across 'em.
As the old saying goes: if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.
If he is trying to poke fun at anyone... well, jokes on him. I mean if you really take to heart the what some random mouthbreather says in the chat window...
You can complain directly about bugs or you can complain by proxy by posting a screenshot of someone complaining. Same difference really.
There is of course no rule to report bugs, but wouldn't it be nice if we players treated it as a gentlemens' agreement?
I think I figured out whats bugging out events the most: z plane and the anti-exploit invulnerability that every creature has. I accidentally bugged a skill challenge quest by fighting the creature in and out of water. When I killed it, the creature was half way out of the water and bugged out. I accidentally bugged out another event when I feel off a cliff and the mob followed me. He got stuck on an edge and was invulnerable to attack. Sucky thing was that he could still hurt me. This can happen quite often when players are trying to avoid death.
I've reported my findings to AV. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
