A new blog post authored by ArenaNet's Mike Ferguson discusses the current state of World vs World game play in Guild Wars 2. Ferguson discusses long wait times for some servers as compared to other servers with low populations as well as as the fact that 14-day matches have been reduced to 7-days.
One reason some people experience long wait times is that we are still seeing extremely high concurrency rates, which makes queues longer on worlds that have a large number of players focused on WvW. We also discovered a bug that was allowing people to queue up and enter maps ahead of players who had been queued for much longer. Please check on our forums for an announcement when the fix has been implemented. This should fix the problem of some people staying queued for hours while other people can queue up for the same map and enter within a matter of minutes.

This information was available on their forums for days now. It's hardly worth mentioning twice.
Meanwhile there is a list of issues that destroy enjoyment one could obtain from this game mode, which are seemingly ignored. These issues become most obvious when you're in the top brackets (NA or EU), and are actually causing players to 'quit' on a daily basis.
i love GW2!

sorry im all for guild wars 2 being a decent game i enjoy playing but even comparing it to daoc now in its current state is blantant disrespect to DAOC in general. The world vs world is nothing but small map zerge vs zerge with siege weapons determining the fights not how good the guild is. Our guild goes out to gank in 10 man double groups and get steam rolled by zerges , and when we try to take keeps the rams are so damn slow on the doors 40 defenders can be there before you get to 50% so no ninja objectives but boring doylak camps. Plus to make it worse you have a lead dev Mike Ferguson who is totoally clueless and should not be the lead when there is other members in his team with much more common sense. Its funny to usually the game forums are places for white knights to defend the game and run off the negatives and trolls alike in most games. If you go to their world vs world discussion its tons of complaints and its from the DAOCers like myself and others.
The game is a great game full of soul and exploration but world vs world is def not like DAOC other then 3 realm pvp and some zerging.
As far as WvW queues go, they are pretty acceptable. I was on JQ and it being the most popular server it was a long wait, but switched to Blackgate and I get into WvW within 10 mins, 20mins during peak hours.
As far as the actual WvW gameplay, it's pretty friggen fun, but there really needs to be more tweaking with rams and whatnot, they seem useless

Basically he says us there is no way we can fix the queues if people inist to play WvWvW.
As i predicted several months ago, this would become the single biggest problem for the game. On top of that with more people nearing max level, it will only get worse.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
They are not Apple or Blizzard...... ;-)
