The game's economy right now is hyperinflated. Fortunately, we get the option of joining either the new or old servers come 2.0. Joining a new server means everyone isn't going to have capped all their crafts, capped their jobs, and even capped the amount of gil they can hold. I'll be able to craft low level gear and it will actually be in high demand...It will feel like a brand new mmo, I can't wait. I'm all excited like I was back in 2010, they better not dissapoint again.

So you can sell low level crap at hyperinflated prices? only intelligent players wouldnt buy low level gear as most of it drops, and are never at the level long enough to warrant paying out for low level gear.
Well low level gear definately didn't drop when I played at launch.
Either:
"So you can sell low level crap at hyperinflated prices?"
What? I made a decent living in FFXI selling noobie gear for the first couple years, especially selling the tiers of bone gear that everyone always bought before heading to Valkurm, Qufim Island, and Kazham.
Since when is gear dropped from mobs in XI/XIV. You only get materials, except from the mobs where drops would make sense (humanoids and such), but nothing to actually gear a character completely.
A lot of gear comes from chests doing leves, and some from rewards on leve completion. Still not worth worrying about buying gear until you hit 20 imo, I never did and never needed to, use what is free.
It wasnt like that, I think your refering to when you needed high lvl crafting mats to make low lvl gear, this has been fixed, its still grindy to lvl up crafting though. They said they will make it more casual for those who don't like the challenge, but will stil keep elements of crafting for those that enjoy trying to HQ items.
If you don't like the crafting side and belong to a linkshell, most people that do craft will normally craft gear for you, if you supply the mats and pay a little tip. I have never met anyone who would refuse to create a linkshell member gear, infact most linkshells encourage members to create gear for people to catch up. Community is more helpful than many other MMO's.
There are three kinds of people in this world. The one's who can count, and the ones who can't.
