I'm looking for a Roman/Greek based MMORPG or an MORTS similar to Rome: Total War. I CANT WAIT for age of Conan to come out 
but in the mean time i need a game to keep me occupied, open betas are perfectly fine as well as finished games. please give any ideas you have.

I know a few old online greek/roman myth games and such,
all I can think of are the age of mythology series (quite a few, actually)
age of empires, crusaders, and, well....thats is pretty much all i can think of at the moment.
I'm sure there are many others that i didn't name, but I hope my suggestions help

Have a look at Roma Victor in the 'In Development' section. Not that great of graphics, but supposed to offer great immersion in the time-period and solid large-scal PvP content.

the game has some awesome concepts and will appeal to a wide variety of player types PvP, PvE etc, the dev team and community are really cool and helpful.
For an RTS you could try Time of Defiance, I think it's still running.
