This is because it resembles WoW so much. You have to understand that there are other games out there that people like and just because you don't care for them doesn't make them a failure.
Tomorrow I will be playing GW2 and MoP. I don't point out that I hate certain games or say they are failures just because I don't like them. I try and accept each of them in their own way and if I don't like them I just don't play them.

You mean 8 yrs - not 9. WoW came out jUST BEFORE GW1 and GW1 was 7 yrs old this year.
WoW is falling in the mud, albeit slowly. MoP shows that they really are not listening to their own fan base. People will buy it because it is a WoW expansion, in spite of the Pandas in it.
American woem game just like American men, hence your comment about women playing cute characters shows that you do not understand that. MoP is more anime than WoW - look at TERA and that will explain it all.

They have 10mln subscription base that require addon so that was to be expected. Still - good job Blizz.
Still I tried WoW few months ago and I must say that after playing MMO of current generation I just can't go back. For me - WoW is just borin. I'm sure it was fun 7 years ago and people that started at that time love this game but today - WoW is no go for me.
Kind of sad because I always wanted to see what kind of game it is for 10mln people playing it and for kids spending there their entire free time for 7 years.

You mean, release a game, with a very large established fanbase from 10+ years of bnet history, at a time when the market was still emerging and the casual base had not yet been established, thus ripe for harvesting? Therefore establishing a momentious self perpetuating playerbase, which people never leave because they have X hours invested in their characters, and hey, their friends and everyone else plays WoW anyway. Not discounting Blizzard quality (minus D3) but WoW's success is as much about perfect timing that is impossible to replicate in the current market (saturated with titles), as it is quality, if not more so

WoW will do well just because of what it is, but after the first month of MoP folks will relize it is still just WoW and not resubscribe. It will probably go back to it's dwindling playerbase and only hold the hardcore players who don't want to leave. I think the numbers still stay fairly strong but as folks upgrade their computers they see no reason to stay with an older looking title. It is an awesome game, but it can only last so long. /salute!

Personally, I'm not offended by WoW's success, but to call GW2 a failure is something that either only a real moron would do, or someone that just isn't armed with all the facts.....OR.....a simple troll. By no standards is GW2 failing.....at this point. By no standards is WoW failing either. Is WoW "more successful?" By player numbers I would say yes, but again....that doesn't take away from GW2 success except maybe to a WoW fanboi troll who just can't stand that another game is having some success. He goes on to later say he considers RIFT successful, but not GW2. That gave me a good laugh.

I'm very upset about MoP. When I saw the CGI trailer I thought there was a new Kung Fu Panda coming out, and my children where excited. Than I learned it was WoW's expansion.
I would rather have a new Kung Fu Panda(I'll take two hours of Jack Blacks annoying a## over 10 million annoying a##'es any day)
