Going to play FFXI again, but...

I am thinking of playing FFXI again, i have played WoW for about 6 months now, and am quite bored of it... but i was wondering if old players can get back their old characters, and get a free trial for a week or something, or do you have to start all over again?

It helps to read old posts, but your old chars are deleted after 3 months, they did do this one thing where they brought your old chars back from a year ago, and not there are no trials or anything like that, but that game does cost $21.34 and you get a free month.

I guess that isn't possible anymore? Bringing back the chars?

Actually, if your lucky your previous account still exists. all have to do to check is put in your old account info. your char should still exist with all his items of stuff if it still open all you have to do is open up a content id for him and you can jump right back in. but if you can't you will have to start from scratch.
You have to remember your orginal pol information to be able to do it.

Someone said they changed that 3 months into 1 year prior to the February Policy but I don't know if its true.
I got a copy of FFXI and Chains Of Promathia sitting in my room. Only got Playonline Viewer installed to check out Vanadiel Tribune and stuff goin on in the game. Can't start playing yet because of exams and I'm still deciding between FFXI and WOW
