Bots are accepted by NCSoft now ? Or why does nothing happen to them ?

GoromhirGoromhir Member UncommonPosts: 463

just wondering because there isnt a minute passing without watching a annoying bot in this game.

i reported more than 30 Bots in the last days but it seems nothing happens.

No GMs seem to work and ban them.

World vs World zones are meanwhile crowded with BOT trains taking usefull spots for PvP players.

Is it so hard to just ban their accounts ? these botters bought the game and cheated, why not simply delete their accounts , let them buy new one and delete them again until they finally stop ?

This game has more BOTs in some zones than players........ completly retarded

I see them dissapear, others have commented on seeing them dissapear. Anet make posts every so often letting us know how many bots/gold seller accounts have been banned in the most recent wave of bannings.

So... they are doing something. Stating something that is known to be false can lead one to believe this is a trolling attempt.

well  here in europe on the  gandara  server i see  a  less and  less  bots  and goldsellers.

to tell  the  truth i've have not  seen a  goldseller  in  days  on a  single area.

they are  really working on it.  on  one  server it  goes faster than on others.

the  best thing to do  is  keep reporting them and  they  will  get away in time.

Not much you can do. If they are gold farming/power leveling/whatever, they will likely still profit even is they are banned and forced to repurchase fairly freqently, so they will continue to come back.

The answer is not to target them at all, but to target those using the services they provide, i.e. ban gold buyers, ebayers, etc. It will hurt someone much more if they part with money for the game, then more money for ingame currency, then get banned and lose it all, which is more likely to have a lasting effect on them and deter others ~ so harming the botters. It is also much easier because your averge player is alot more clumsy in these 'affairs' then the botters, and you can honeytrap them by running fake goldsellers (which goldsellers also do, because gold buyers are generally pretty stupid, hence why they need to p2w) ~ developers have little power outside the game to hunt down botters.

Alot like the 'war on drugs' really. Seasoned drug dealers are alot harder to catch than the dopey, drug-addled buyer, so why make your job harder then it needs to be? Just beat the crap outa the sad, middle class white teenager buying weed to impress his friends, job done.

I wonder if there would be a way for them to make some players trusted and able to ban botters.  Most likely not, but it would be great if such a system existed where the person was trusted until they misused the power and lost their account.

There are already topics on the subject in this forum. Instead of making yet another bots thread for your opinion, perhaps look back a couple of pages and add your voice to an already existing topic.
