They are not taking it out of the game but they are adding in more falling damage, so bunny hopping will not be as common.

BUNNY-JUMPING Fall damage has been increased to reach the cap of the game, and if a player takes enough fall damage to kill them, that player becomes incapacitated. The 'Slow Fall' spell is a great utility added to the game to counteract this, but it is on a long cooldown. People can become incapacitated from bunny hopping.

Depends on what school they put the movement spells into. If it's anything other than lesser or greater magic, supposedly a heavy armor-wearing warrior role would not have access to those spells.
This bothers me because it sounds like they have no idea how to fix bunny hopping. It was an exploit in quake, it was an exploit in counter strike and its an exploit in darkfall no matter what kind of excuses people are making to justify it as gameplay.
The fact that were going into their new game with this shit still in the game tells me its gonna be the same old shit with problems with the.game not getting fixed in an decent ammount of time.

They have fixed it, maxing out fall damage prevents it and they added in being incapacitated, meaning you bunny hop down to 0 HP yo cant move and lay on the groudn for a period of time, there is 1 spell to prevent fall damage with what they describe has a long cool down. Im sure certains spells will be removed as well, begone for one...probably shrapnel, two spells that found very little use aside from bunny hopping away.
According to AV, they have made sure Magic isnt the only route to take in UW and have made sure diversity in play styles will be paid attention to.

Its not hopping up and down in circles to avoid shots, its using certain spells that physically launch you up and away at a much faster rate than you could run (like 3-4x faster in some cases). You can cast a few different spells in quick succession allowing you to cover great distance while flying through the air to get away from people when youre going to lose a fight, or chase people down who would have otherwise been able to keep their distance from you. It also makes you much harder to hit because youre moving much faster than you should be able to, allowing people to heal back up to full health easily and then turn around and continue fighting.

From what i understand they have really incresed the damage taken from falling.
Thet even said you should to be careful running downhill and jumping at the same time because of the damage. So it is a start to remove this crap with bunny hopping : )

No.. if you bunnyhop too hard you get "stunned" and you are dead, who would still use that..
Running away from a fight bunnyhopping with 1hp wont be an option anymore.
Maybe a single *hop* to disengage will still be possible (maybe only for a certain class.. a supersquishy mage with enhanced movement abilities?)
