Darkfall: Past & Present Subscribers Play Free

Aventurine has announced that beginning October 17th, all past and present subscribers will be able to log back into Darkfall and play for free until November 15th. On November 15th, Darkfall servers will be shut down for good to make way for Darkfall: Unholy Wars.

    I don't see myself coming back for the free month, but I will definitely check out unholy wars on Nov 20th.

    I might come back and play during that time, would be nice to see the old game one last time before it sunsets.

    Been a while since I last played. Heard there were various improvements throughout that time with reduction to grind, etc. But from my past experiences, I can't be bothered to log in and try to get situated for 30 days for a sunset. However, I will be checking out DFUW.

    I never played the original, but I would buy it to play for what little time is left if I could. I hope I can try out DF:UW though when it comes out.

    That'd be nice, I'd even buy it to play for a month if I could until DF:UW comes out just to familiarize myself with the game a little bit, but I don't see buying it as an option anywhere. image

    So that people who are not even interested can login and troll those of us that are? I think not.

    If you were ever a subscriber you get access, that is more than fair.

    If you were ever a subscriber you get access, that is more than fair.

    I dunno MARKETING.  If you allow 100,000- 1 mil more people try it for free and retain even 1% your company makes a buttload more money

    Cool.. Hopefully people will actually fight with their weapons and armor on now that the game is going to close and we all start fresh..

    The fear of losing should be gone, I bet it's going to be fun!

    Except that Darkfall: Unholy Wars is going to be a lot different than Darkfall 1.0..... I'd rather them do it this way than try to have a million people try it now since they've done nothing with 1.0 and put all of their focus on Unholy Wars...
