RvR i do not know..., but currently, there is no PvP in FFXI, but the developers have stated that PvP is ready to go. They have not put it in yet because it does not fit in with the current storyline.
Implementation is scheduled at some point between January and March of 2004 and will have something to do with the conquest system

Yes, yes i know but the servers are unstable.

I bougth SW:G from www.gamestop.com and it was not a sucsess!

First of all i did not like the game...( though i only tried it for 15 days...) , after 15 days i sold it to a m8!

Second as i said the servers were laggy and some times i could not connect to any of them!

I will not risk any more cash on buying a game form united states..

Im really not sure what "SG:W" is, but it sounds stupid. =P

Keep in mind FFXI will be more then 1 server to help reduce lag. As long as you have a cable Connection to the internet or higher, and 256 MB RAM and a pentuim 4 then it should run smoothly, otherwise id mostly suggest it runs slow, cuase your computer runs slow.

Samusic, no i am not a beta tester, but i tested SW:G ( Star Wars : Galaxies ) and there the servers were unstabile.

I know that ther will be more then one serv....

your internet connection isnt so good., get better, im sure thats the main problem.

also, their are mainly USA people who play the Japanese version of FFXI over at FFXIOnline.com. They dont seem to be having much of a problem with lag.

First of all, screens and movies don't mean much. Anyway, the graphics are very good, in my opinion, and my computer isn't the best around. I don't know if there are a lot of people who are going to play the game. I can't really make projections only SE could make. I do know that most of the people currently in beta will be getting the game sometime.. For a list of abilities go to shadow-dragons.com and click index. I've been beta testing the game since August. I don't think there will be a beta test in Europe since the servers being used will be the Japenese and American servers. The beta is ending the 14th of October. In FFXI "clans" or "guilds" are called "linkshells" and the crafting groups are called "guilds". I think there are probably a good number of them to join. Most of them are all about just chatting and helping each other with quests, items, missions, etc. that they need and to have some people to party with. I don't know about most of the linkshells, but pretty much everybody has some sort of messaging system. I only had one character, Thylteev, a male Elvaan. I got to level 30 in white mage and I just got level 18 in ranger last night. I'm not sure how many beta testers there are.

Hmm naja könnt ich machen.
But when the EU Version is released I cant switch to the EU Servers right ? And that sucks, because I want to play with some friends of mine who definitly will play on the German Server.

German servers? There will be American and Japanese servers. As in, the servers will physically be in America and Japan. Anybody can be on any of the servers. There's an in game translator.

That just means that the servers will be based there. Anybody can play on any server they like. There are no servers specifically for a certain language. There is an in game translator.
