If you are a fan of pvp, then you have to play WarZ. This game is impressive ! I haven't had this feeling since Asheron's Call: Darktide. The game is a little buggy and crashes because its in the Alpha stage, but it's going to get better. So if you are tired of the quest and grind, like me, and wanna pvp, play WARZ.

Excellent job using hobo multiple times. That word always cracks me up for some reason.

The OP opened with "if you like PvP then...."  but we get it.  You don't care for PvP.  Did your biased comments add anything constructive to the thread?

I'll check the game out.  Because we all know that carebears can be hobos too.

It doesn't have perma death right? I think I'd rather play DayZ.  Having hardcore and casual settings in the same game world... ehhh

I hate when the community takes a game like this and focuses only on the pvp. It ruins the game.

The player is suppose to be thinking, "Can I trust this guy?"

Instead the player is thinking, "I know for a fact this guy is going to try and kill me." or "Time to go kill some foos."

It removes the uncertainty and destroys the other social options within the game.

Like zombie movies have shown humans are suppose to be the most dangerous thing but it's the players that act like they are playing Counter-Strike or COD and take that idea to an extreme that mess up the dynamic. There is plenty of room for the bloodthristy player but use some roleplaying sense otherwise, like someone else said, what is the point of the zombie theme? Also, mix it up every once awhile and play a character that isn't a psychopathic killer.

I don't know, maybe I'm way overestimating the point and theme of this game. Maybe it is just suppose to be a deathmatch with zombies there to keep people from getting bored inbetween rounds. In my opnion that would be a huge waste though.

If a zombie outbreak really happened there would definately be people and/or groups of people going around killing other people they meet for their stuff.. or just because they don't trust anyone anymore. Even the good guys would become bad in the right situation.

This is what a zombie mmo should be like. If it was anything else, it'd just be another clone.

Closest thing to a proper zombie outbreak simulation. They just need to make surrounding zombies react more when players do attack each other (if it makes noise), it would change the whole dynamic and make people really consider whether or not they should attack others. The zombie threat needs to go UP.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

That's really cool and idealogical and all, but it's a moot point when the game doesn't have the tools to support any of what you suggest. Walk into an area, four people travelling about, someone says 'friendly'. Aside from the complete uncertainty as to whether they can be trusted or not, you can't tell WHO said that unless there's some overhead name system I'm missing. Add to that in certain situations you can get one-hit, so the tools, time and options to actually TRY to trust or interact with someone simply aren't there.

The current game design allows for no other logical choice but psychopathic killer.

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

You mean The War of Flashlights?  Now Warz is fun in dosses, but the rampid ganking is gonna be a concern and according to the devs, they reached 15k concurrent users so something tells me GW2 is gonna be just fine.

Now dont get me wrong I intend to play WarZ but not because it its revolutionary but because on occasion, just like an FPS, ganking people is kind of fun and what better way to do it then in my favorite setting (outside of high fantasy).

Where did OP imply that GW2 is not going to be fine or that War Z is somehow going to make GW2 lose players? what is with all this defensive mode when ever someone mentions GW2?

War Z is not a fast food MMO like GW2 so no one is expecting to have millions of players. So 15K concurrent users is damn good number.

I haven't tried WarZ yet but I hope they don't make it to "gamey". Thats really the magic of this type of game, the lack of structure. Its get in there and survive, no other goals.

This game implies harsher death penalties you just cant do way point rez zerg. I don't even know from where people got the idea that War Z is mindless zerg fest? 250 is the player cap per server. And maps are huge.

    Good luck on zerging.

It significantely decreases the hacking activity in exchange for certain user incovenience, in this case I rather have that incovenience.
