Worth Starting Over While I wait for 14?

in Final Fantasy XI

I used to play XI a long time ago for about 5 years...

Lost my original account, just wondering if the game in its current state would be entertaining enough while I wait for FF14 to relaunch? Mostly play solo since I dont know many peeps that play but not against making friends -D
