    PSP all the way.

I love my PSP and take good care of it. I like watching videos of my ex-girlfriend droping it like it's hotimage, listing to my favorite music, surfing the net when I'm away from home, viewing pictures, and playing video games. it's a thrill.

Now, what can the DS do again? Have 2 screens, 1 touchable, with the graphics of an enhanced N64? The PSP has the graphics engine that is slightly better (or compare) to the PS2. Now don't get me wrong, the DS does has things going gor it too. That picto-chat sounds pretty cool.

I have the PSP bundle pack and:

    - PlayerGearPocket by Logetech. here are my pictures of my custom PGP:

    - Burnout Legends (rented it)

PSP is so much better, hands down, no questions asked...

DS sucks... <---  except for marioDS image

I'd have to go with PSP as well. I ended up selling my DS to a friend to get extra cash for my PSP. Been playing the hell out of Untold Legends and Burnout. Thought I'm usually supposed to be working when I am lol. PSP would have been great back when I was in high school. But that was a long time ago. ::::07::

Funny thing is.. he ended up selling the DS to EBgames for store credit to get a PSP after I let him borrow mine. He got hooked by Burnout as well.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

Yeah, Burnout revenge is crazy. I don't know why they didn't put replay and ghost saves in it. That would have been funny.

Does anyone have Ridge Racer? I have a pretty cool gost for you to beat if you got the time...

Which would be better for a 10 year old girl? I understand the DS has games geared more towards children like Nintendogs. So would a DS be the better pick for a young girl?

    PSP OWNS the DS.

yeah, if you want a portable CONSOLE which turned out to be just a carry around Playstation 2, go ahead and buy a PSP..

if you want a real handheld go for the DS, it's much cheaper and the games are way more fun, not to mention that it's a totally different experience, actually innovative and something that anybody can play.

The PSP on the other hand does a whole bunch of things much worse then other individual gadgets like Ipods and PDA's... with games on the side.

The PSP is just something expensive you buy to show off to your friends, before I sold mine all I did with it was keep it at home, fiddle with boring and useless homebrew stuff, and play the only two games I ever got for it. Then I realized that I might as well just play my PS2 because the only thing I ever actually carried around with me was the DS.

Don't believe the hype and go Nintendo, unlike other companies they still believe in making fun games and not useless status symbols

The DS is rather gimicky. The PSP is slicker and gives you more for your money, not to mention it looks better graphics wise.

    A DS.

PSP is more geared towards responsible teens and adults.

DS is for (generally speaking) younger people. Hence the cutsey Mario stuff and the nintendogs.

Also you can get a DS now for very cheap.

Yeah, for kids, I would suggest a DS. Besides, a PSP for a kid is a little out of hand.

what exactly about the DS is gimmicky? have you actually played some DS games? I'm sure you might have noticed by now that the touchscreen and stylus only add to the games.. if nothing else

I consider the PSP to be much more gimmicky with all it's half-assed extra 'functions'.

The microphone, the games, the stylus, the touchscreen- all unnecessary to what you want, which is good gameplay. Nintendogs is one of the most gimicky games I have ever seen. Also, who wants a game where you have to yell at your system to get it to do what you want it to do?

Don't forget, the PSP has a microphone too, or should I say a port for a headset. image

The PSP is not a gimmick. I don't call looking a pictures, playing videos and movies, and listening to music on one portable device a gimmick. All those versions of the I-Pod seem like a gimmick to me. I don't have an, I-Pod, a portable DVD player or movie watcher, or a portable picture viewer. What do I buy to get it all and save money? A PSP.

Now about Nintendogs...ehhh. I can teach my dog more than any simulator can. There should have been something like Nintendogs that you could battle with...like Digimon or Monster Rancher. Nintendogs does makes scene, but it's not a needed game...nothing to buy a DS over. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not bashing it. It's just not worth a buy to me. Tomagatchi and virtual pets back in the day are the real simulators. They actually DIE on you if you don't take care of it. More close to having a real pet than Nintendogs...unless the dogs in that game can die too...

I have to say I like my DS because of price, and GAMES. I like two games for the PSP compared to the 10 I own for the DS that all rock face (one is japanese). But I still need to buy the latest Castlevania, the new surgery game, trace memory, and the new lawyer game.
Browse the internet? Awsome...guess what it sucks especially when compared to a PDA. I have one friend with a PSP who agrees that the PSP is way overated. The cost of SD memory, and execution of it's features along with cost is pure suckage. I have played around with his PSP many times, it is nice don't get me wrong. The screen is excellent...watching vids, is great. But wasn't the thing made for gaming? Those features don't justify spending 250 dollars with that battery life. No RW UMD drives either? Meaning your forced to get those costly SD cards. If you need to do those kinds of things; a smartphone or PDA is a better choice.
A lot of my friends have bought a DS and everyday we play Advanced Wars Dual Strike. I can not wait! for nintendo wi-fi, I am sure you can look it up anywhere on how they are doing it. Just a USB stick, plug it into any PC with an internet connection and your off to playing your DS online. One of the launch games for this feature is the new Animal Crossing. I wonder if there will be more voice features...maybe even voice chat the DS does have a microphone ::::35::
On top of touching...rumblepacks are back. The new metroid pin-ball features a rumble pack it's a GBA cartridge. Hmm..one more feature that gets you more into the game that the PSP does not have.
So until games get good on the PSP it is a waste of money imo.
Also the fact that DS gets news for selling a kergellion copys of Nintendogs...doesn't that mean that somone is winning here? lol.
In terms of tech specs well hell yeah PSP wins. When it boils down to it the two are about even steven. THe best review I ever saw of the two handhelds was on suprisingly on IGN, it came to the same conclusion that the two are even.
Some people say that the PSP is a better buy because at one point in time they will be able to emulate everything from the SNES to Sega. Right now it's just the SNES they have working with some games one of the bigger problems being the PSP's screen ratio. lol @ the reason to own a PSP is to play nintendo games.

Humm. I do have to admit that some of your comments on the PSP is uhh not true. I will explain later buddy becusae I gtg to bed. I got work.

Here is one thing I can say. The PSP has microphone ability (as in a headset). Look on the bottom right on the back of the PSP for the little I con. The first game that use the PSP headsets is SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo which will come out in November and guess what? It's Online enabled. So you got the headest + online = awsomenessimage

truthfully the ds is better in the long run cuz u get to get free network hook up, many games , nintendo on top of that is a good company so theyll make a bunch of games for it and whatever else theyll make for the ds,, i mean look what is comin out next who knows what theyll do to the ds.... with network connection...  then u got touch screen which will be put on the games so imagine playin online/network with the touch screen fun... well the psp has music dl etc... movies but u have to dl it then with hte music its not like u can jus skate with the psp in ur hand or pocket so it wouldnt even be worth it that much u could jus get a disc man..  the psp is to exspesive itself to jus buy then have to pay amonthly fee for network games.. the ds is free when it comes out and has picto chat etc... so it would be funner to beable to chat with someone after u just got done playin a game with them,it would suck to jus play someone and not ever get to meet them.. which is how the psp will be like when it comes out on network... over all im jus sayin the ds would be funner then the psp,  psp will be fun to have, which of course ill get both but in the long run the ds sounds like its gonna be kick ass.. well more kick ass then the psp... but whatever fits u the best. most is what us should get but the ds has more on it to do with other people.. imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

Your wrong man. You don't have to pay for network for PSP. Get your facts right. If you have or can find a siginal with no WEP key (unless you know the key), you can play all you want. Only some services maybe like the ones at starbucks may charge, just like they do with laptops. I can go at Mc Donalds, or at the mall right now and play all I want.

WRONG, PSP has headsets that are comming out for november so you can play online games TALKING! Not only that, the PSP has updates so I wouldn't be suprised if a chatting system is made for the next PSP update.

For everything else man, I don't know what the hell you just said, but you really need to read up on the PSP. Logitech made a PSP Player Gear Pocket case. You can listen to music and don't have to worry about your PSP shattering if you drop it. You can put your own music, pictures, and music...on the MS Duo.
