I don't know if you played City of Heros before, but City of Villians is a carbon copy. Actually more like a evil mirror image. The town itself is different and you get some different costumes to choose from, but the over all game mechanics is the same.

If you have not played City of Heros, you should consider at least picking up City of Villians and giving it a try. Or even pick up City of heros if you like being a good guy instead.

CoV has some cool missions like one I did that was rob a bank. In reality though it was just a clear the cops and attack the vault door and leave... That is all I can think of at the moment.

Oh yeah and its graphics have improved since CoH.

Go RF Online. CoV is a modified CoH game.
CoV is exactly like CoH except with new skins, new classes, and new maps.
CoV uses 75% recycled powers of CoH anyways.

Dont even go to CoH or CoV for the PvP. The PvP is borked. Only certain classes wins. The PvP isnt tuned for 1 vs. 1, its tuned for large group fights (5 vs. 5). In 1 vs. 1, the match is already decided depending which class you are. No strategy whatsoever.

What is nice about The City of X series is the PvE game is fun. At least I think so. If you do decide to play CoV, play sooner than later. Because each patch they nerf (downgrade) classes big time. And it happens every patch. Enjoy the moment, then cry when its gone.

Cryptic/NCSoft, one of the few companies that downgrades each patch.

Besides, RF Online looks cooler. ::::01::

Agree 100% with what he said. As well as what Useful said.

Gonna try and beta test RF, maybe get CoV if I ever get the money/will to play. Tried WoW, might return when I have the cash.

Oh yeah, I sense a three-sided war coming...

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.

RF is still a ways away, and not too much is known about it right now, as it was said they are changing things for the American Release since there are things we dont like about Korean games.
Mostly things like how we like wasd, and koreans love point and click.. bleh.

after 6 or so years, I had to change it a little...

We will put up a guild review of the game later this week. But the gist is that we like it, and we'll be starting up a guild chapter there.

As far as WoW goes you're going to get people that like it and dislike it just like any other game.

they all are games that dont change in time there for they are boring after a little time playing. I think there  will be a game soon that will keep my attention soon !

Best thing to do with any game is to try it yourself. I started out with CoH and loved it, still love it. I denied playing WoW for so long till someone kept the pressure on me about trying it. I had formulated my ideal that I wouldnt like it from people saying that WoW had numerous issues and wasnt fun. So I expected it.

Then I actually tried it on my own and throughly enjoyed WoW, it added in all the things I missed in CoH, fun pvp, different mission aspects, larger world and so much more. But I still play CoH. I look forward to CoV and I am in beta, yes it is basically a mirror of the game but they couldnt do a totally differ game and still have it be able to interact with CoH. That is the reason why its most copy of orginal.

My suggestion try to play the game for yourself, ask around once CoV comes out if any friends have it to try out and play for a bit. A couple of hours of play can give you a good idea if you will like it. Everyone can give you every aspect of the game negative and postive but until you try it yourself you will never get the true experience.

WoW- Newb MMORPG. For new MMORPG'ers. No fun for people who have ever played an MMO before.

CoV- Looks pretty good from what I have seen. Not playing the the stress test so I don't know if it's any fun or not. But if it's another huge grind like CoH was then it might just be a intruiging game with good graphics.

RF- This is what I'm interested in. 3 different races, with different classes. Lots of guns, cyber-swords, and giant mechs. PvP, huge team quests, and a giant world. The gameplay looks interesting with lots of skills and stuff. Plus graphics are pretty smooth. This would be the one I'm looking forward to. image

WoW a Newb MMO? Is that why so many old school MMO players play it now? Including myself.

I agree with that, Carbon Copy! But give it a try if you want so you could see it!!! I don't play CoV but from what I saw with some of my friends, it's also good! GoodLuck! image
