These forums have gone to the dogs. When I first came here it was such a good place to talk about the game, I really enjoyed the good community spirit, so I started to post information for anyone interested, especially the new guys, but that has changed.
The preaching, and trolling has hit this forum hard, and the game is not even out yet! The constructive people are now out numbered.
I wont hang with negative people, they just bring you down. It's not my style 
My participation will reduce to the piont of stopping altogether.

blacksac I agree totally. I was just telling someone on irc that the dnl mmorpg.com forums have become a cest pool of whining and flaming. Very sad to see but that is the reality now I think and either these forums need to be monitored more frequently or anyone with half a brain and any sense of morals will just disappear from here leaving the rest to their misery.

You know what drives me nuts Blacsac. You post a screenshot or something and there are at least ten posts that follow none with a post count of more than 10 exclaiming on how they have been waiting years for the game and are peeing their pants in anticipation of it's "release".
NPCube has brought any and all criticism of the game upon themselves Blacsac. They are the ones releasing pretty screeenshots of empty lands. They are the ones who made the decision to release early. They are the ones who cannot keep with their own self imposed schedule of releasing info. The official forums are not much better, in fact I don't think I have seen a thing on here that was not mirrored on the official forums, just more fanboy posts to cover it over and run it onto page 2 .
Think it is the so called constructive people are outnumbered now? Wait till after that so called release in November. I am not sure what is constructive about hyping up a game that is nothing but overhyed BS anyway.

Agreed but it doesn't matter. DnL will be out soon.
I am really looking forward to playing this game with many of the fine people I have met on these forums.
You see this is where you are wrong the Devs have never mentioned paid beta this is your words to justifly what ever reason you have i keep going on about proof but i see its a lost cause and i dont do them at all.

I just hang around IRC nowadays because there has to be at least ten threads on why the game won't release and why it sucks like we haven't seen that evidence or can't draw a valid conclusion ourselves. The OPs think they are god's gift to online gaming, knowing everything MMOG, but always only looking on the downside and the evidence against the game. If you present them with good news or solid evidence for the game they call you a fanboi and move on.
Wether it's ignorant or unlikely or whatever, i'd like to see this game succeed. I'll eat my words at release if they are all right, but right now i'm tired of the flaming and all the pessimistic threads.
these forums aren't much better either.
i can't wait until release just so all this crap is at least based on actual evidence (or not)

I cannot understand how some of you people think D&L is being released in November.
NPCube has stated that there will be a Downloadable Client offered in Novemebr at a reduced rate for those willing to pay a small monthly fee to help pay test the game until it's official Box release some time in 2006.
So offcoarse it won't be finished by Nov... they have already said as much

Do you honestly think people are taking the time to visit MMORPG, click on the Dark and light message board and read your negative replies? Or are the majority of people, maybe just maybe, coming here to discuss what we like about the game? Find insight and information about it?
Why bother wasting your time on something you despise so much? Has to be a fairly unhealthy life. Or could it be, that like many of us, you currently are not interested in any games... besides Dark and Light..... It certainly seems so, considering the amount of time you spend bashing the game.
So... if DnL is such a bad..stupid..boring..vaporware game.. Then why arent you playing your perfect game??... you obviously have a insider secret to the perfect game.. don't you? Well, its obviously not that perfect, if your taking time off from playing it to come bash on DnL.

answering a question with a question, now your truly making me look bad. Not to mention a question that only your multiple personalties can find intriguing.
But, since you decided to ask me, i will provide you an answer.
I think its unfair and pathetic for people such as yourself attempting to ruin Dark and Lights reputation. This game has potential beyond the majority of MMOs to be something amazing... There seems to be a lack of defense for DnL on these forums, so i spend a a good 15-30 mins every other day or so replying.
I know, the sole purpose of your little visits to the DnL forums are to piss people off... but if you truly want to annoy a massive amount of people, buy Dark and Light... Developers from all the world are going to cry each time someone purchases this game and realizes the true potential of MMORPGS...

Even though WoW isnt the game in question i will keep my word and find you a few people who are dissatisfied with the game.
no that's the definition of a popular productnow we will apply the concepts of your post to DnL. obviously we can't compare dark and light to WoW in sheer numbers because DnL is still in closed beta and NP3 arent a multibillion dollar company, so lets use percentage. DnL has an estimated 4000-5000 beta testers at the moment, I have seen around 4-5 NDA breaks to tell us this game is bad, by my calculations that is about a 99.9% satisfaction rate. Since 51% would be a majority, i think you just defined Dark and Light as a quality product. That was your definition not mine.

For all you ggod natured posters of DnL: Dont leave ...just report it. If they fit the rules of trolling, flaming or other illegal activities, we will PROMPTLY take action.

Thanks and I have reported. Some of the posts have been reported already however so I trust they will be taken care of. I would like to point out that I was NOT blaming the staff here. Just saying perhaps more were needed to deal with this obvious problem we have here on the DnL forums. It is hardly the fault of the mmorpg.com staff that trollers and flamers have suddenly decided to have fun here. I just hope they move on soon for the sake of this forum. blacksac is an important part of this forum as well as an important member of the DnL forums on darkandlight.net . I think it is pretty bad when someone as great as blacksac feels unable to continue here due to the idiots badmouthing practically every single post

also, we only close a thread when we fill that nothing at all will come from it (a dead thread if you will) or if the thread has the same exact comments as 42 other posts on the same page (usually we just provide a link to the other posts)
Also, we lock a post once it turned into a flame fiesta of sorts. From experience, the best way to ignore a troll is just to ignore him/her.
Another important point of view: not everyone who dislikes a game or says he doesnt like it is a troll. A troll or flamer is someone who verbally assaults you (for ANY reason) or posts a comment in hoping that the thread will be locked.
