Why all the complaints about RIFT?

in Rift
They have merged the servers which is good for population...they havent sold out and gone F2P with a store cash shop to nickel and dime you....they have a huge expansion coming out with new souls and dimensions which looks amazing...and they are even offering an open beta for all to try out their new expansion...TRION WORLDS have been doing what most companies today are failing to do in the mmo market...lets stop the crying

    You do realize you're on MMORPG.com right? At least half the threads on this site are whining of some kind.

    That said I agree with you, and applaud your effort.

    Ive been playing alot of mmos recently and a long time lurker here on mmorpg but finally decided to post because Trion worlds deserve's credit for the way they have been handling Rift.... as i stated with my original post....glad to see someone out there agrees lol....hopefully this thread will encourage those still on the fence to try out rift cuz so far Trion worlds have been doin a great job so far especially with what most other mmos are failing to do

    Wow is still pretty entrenched in the market and anything seen as direct competition pretty much invites the vile of all it's still hardcore followers.

    Luckily, Metzen has stated they're attempting to remove the competiveness by having arena rankings and ratings be account-bound.

     

    So, the uniqueness of wow is slowly diminishing and good riddance to hoser sites like arenajunkies.

    I think Trion is a better company than Blizzard's been in years, I just found the game itself boring.  I have no complaints about the quality of their updates and content.  The game continues to get bigger and better for those who enjoy it.

    Personally I think Rift receives comparatively few complaints on this site.

    There really is very little to complain about.

    It has great developers, content updates, graphics, gameplay... what more could you ask for?

    If there was a game I would go back to that released in the last few years, Rift would be it.

    I don't have the time to invest in this type of game though at the moment so I'm playing GW2 which I can drop and go back to when I please.

    Pvp is terribad, always has been, always will be.
