So I just got done watching the Ring 2 what a pile of crap. I fell like I just wasted 2 hours of my life. The plot was lame the acting was lame. It wasnt scarey or interesting.
Anyone have any thoughts on this movie?

Naomi Watts is the only reason I even kept watching. She is the hotness!!!
I agree. One of the worse movies I have ever watched. It made no sense and the only part of the movie that remotely resembled the RIng was the first 7 minutes.
Although I did get a kick that the boss from Office Space was the realtor in Ring2. He even had a coffee cup in his hand and said hmmm riight ok then.

if you consider Alexander (a film that I quite enjoyed even with it's flaws) to be the "worst movie you have ever watched".. well then I guessing that you haven't seen a lot of movies..

I think the only historical correct thing they did in that movie was the bi sexual issue. That's pretty much it.

Of course I know it was the norm back then. It was also the norm for Men to have sexual relationships with little boys. Just because it's "historical" doesnt mean I have to agree with it. I labeled him bi-sexual because, yes, he was bisexual. Back then it was the norm...but if a ancient philosophy teacher had sexual relations with a 9 year old boy to get him ready for adulthood, Im still going to label it pedophilism.
Just because it was done in Antiquity times does not mean its right. To go to another extreme, The Cannanites would burn their first born daughters to death to their gods. It was right to them...but I still call it murder.
Has nothing to do with Bible bashing. Im not against homosexuality...if you like that sorta thing then so be it. But Alexander was a bi-sexual (and a bi-sexual would agree). And no...EVERYONE didnt do that back then. It was purely a Hellonistic/Roman practice that considered it normal along with isolated areas in the East.
Josephus even remarked about the sexual acts of Hellinistic and Roman men. So did Ghengis Kang (who attributed some of Rome's downfall to the heavy participation of sleeping with one's own "kindness" versus preparing oneself for battle. True, Kang was the ultimate example of a homophobe, but I merely used him as an example to point out not every civilized nation back then practiced this.

And going back to the movie, Alexander. It was very inaccurate because he was too kind and sincere to the people he conquered in the movie. In real life he conquered and hellinized. If people did not follow, he would slaughter them.

Wow.. what the hell? all I said is that some close minded people are changing the facts of history to suit their puritanical views.. I never said that pedophilia is a good thing.
I don't know where all that came from but it was totally unnecessary..

It wasn't just the Hellenistic/Roman men that did it, pederasty was also quite popular in Japan, China, Australasia, Persia, the Ottoman empire, Central America and Africa amongst other lesser known countries.. not to mention some famous examples from the haute culture of France and Britain. I just dont want this thread to go down in flames. Sorry if you could not understand my meaning....besides how did this go from the Ring 2 to this?

yes I understand where you're coming from, but only because you misinterpreted what I wrote. I said that some zealous religious people or ignorants have the tendency to try and 'obscure' the fact that all this stuff was going on at the time. If someone came to me and said "I think pederasty was wrong" I would surely agree with him/her...
..on the other hand if that same someone came to me and told me "I don't think pederasty existed" or "Alexander was straight and never fooled around with other men" I would just slap him in the face and call him an idiot.
The death of society comes when people try to change and deny history, if we live in a fantasy world and pretend that things never happened how is society supposed to evolve?

I agree. Both of the Amercian "Ring" Movies really stunk. I ahvent seen a decent Horror movie in ages besides "Land of the Dead"
Edit: I saw "The Fog" remake this weekend, please avoid this movie at all costs.

They should stop making all those ridiculous remakes, and FOR THE LovE THEE ALMIGHTY GOD make Uwe Boll stop ruining good game concept.
