I believe not long ago when people asked Smedley, when will PS2 be released, his quote was something like
"when its awesome"
If I had any respect for this guy there is non left, after him stating its coming out later this month..
Why? This game is nowhere near awesome, not only is it not awesome, its half as much fun as it was 2 months ago... Just horrid decisions after decisions on how to handle this that and this...This game is SO FAR OFF from its originall PS concept, and is so lost in development direction and how to handle its current issues that I truly feel in my gut that this game has been abandoned as a non achievable game design goal. That in fact it is so bad, that they are just patching it up for unlock and launch and move away...
It breaks my heart to see this, it was MY GAME, at first beta launched I lived in the world for a few weeks, playing with my lifelong PS1 veterans only to realize how far off and how idealistically wrong this title is and the wrong direction it pursued... SO bad, that its hard to login for even 5 minutes (which i do every week to hopefully see that I was wrong) Alas, conclusion made, its been deleted and forgotten in my eyes... I feel sorry for the people about to be consumed from the hype.. They will fall victim to the obvious and addictive unlock system, that was built on one simple premise.. Make the game, strip the skills, pay to unlock them or play one dull boring useless character for hours upon hours while they feed you marketing gimmick after gimmick till you cave.
Well, That's my opinion... Anyone else disagree?

I don't think it's as bad as you make it out to be in your post, but I do agree it does need more work. Still some quirky bugs and not being able to test everything openly doesn't give every player a chance to give opinions on all parts of the game regarding weapons.
I'm hoping it does it get pushed back to December or either a first thing in January title. Enough time to put in their last few changes before a gold release and then time for us beta testers to go through it properly.
Has promise tho, it will be a really large scale once the flood gates are open..
PM before you report at least or you could just block.
