The saddest part is, if Minecraft would upgrade it's PvP to a more complex level, it would probably be a better sandbox FFA PvP game than DF:UW...
It really wouldn't. All minecraft has over any other game is being able to shape the world physically
the concept is a complete fail as a persistent mmorpg because there is no system whatsoever (nor one that I see is possible) to battle people just taking your stuff/homes/whatever while you are not even there, or people just digging in underneath all your nice traps.
minecraft is what it is and can not be compared to a mmorpg like DF

LMAO
Whoever took the time to make those is a genius, well played indeed.
Brilliant. I never expected Av to do so well at simplifying the game environment!
haha nice

not sure if srs
Nope. Minecraft is what you make it to be. Fully moddable and even moreso in the future when they add better multiplayer support.
In the latest build it's possible to enter into "Adventure Mode" where the player cannot break or place blocks.
Frankly, it's only a matter of time until we will see the first big minecraft MMO server.
That must be one hell of a mod then. And there has been a lot of time already for that, yet no one has really taken up on it yet.
