Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
I would travel back and find myself planning to ignore GW2 and play MoP instead!
I would get there just in time to say... "You're good. Carry on."

It's exactly what you think it is well polished great combat and some good innovations. However it's one of the most shallow mmo experiences of your life. It makes other themeparks seem like deep rpg virtual worlds.

Originally posted by Underbridge I would tell myself that there was a reason that the betas only lasted a weekend, and that was because if it went any longer, we would have realized how shallow the game was and that there really is no end game.
What´s up with this "there is no end-game" bull***?
GW2 offers the exact same end-game than any other MMO in the market except for Raiding....
and we all knew it wasn´t going to have Raids long before it launched.
Maybe some of you should simply tell your "own self" in the "time travel" to read better the previews and info about the game....
No it doesn't. It doesn't have a "epic" gear or rare skills to obtain.
Have you heard of "Legendary Weapons"?
Again if cosmetic rewards are not enough for you.... it´s ok...but it was well known before launch that GW2 does not have gear grinding as in WoW where you need better & better stats to keep on going.
I still think some (a lot) of you were expecting a WoW 2.0...and no folks...GW2 is not that.
What is it with you people? Did you even read my post or did you just pick out something that you thought was negative so you could comment on it? I stated in my post that I knew it wasn't going to be like WoW and that cosmetic rewards were part of the endgame. I also stated that it turned out that cosmetic rewards didn't hold enough draw for me and I prefer stats and skills. I went on to explain how their theory of endgame sounded great to me but when I finally played it, I realized that it wasn't for me. I knew it wasn't WoW.
I would advise myself to save the cost of the game and put my entertainment cash into TSW. I started playing GW2 about 3 weeks ago and already many of the intermediate zones are nearly empty. To the extent that the group events and "heart" missions are novel, they're not so novel after doing them for the 50th time.

You can do the same events several time with the same character dude... DO you ppl even play this?
I would tell myself not to spend money on this game, since dungeons are the crappiest of crap and Im a PvE player focused on dungeons

Well, if one stays at the same spot repeating the same event(s) over and over, it's not the game's fault. It's a bit like hitting yourself repeatedly on the head with a hammer and complaining that it hurts... it's not the hammer's fault, guess whose fault it is... ;-)

i would go to the Enchanment Under the Sea Dance with my mom, set her up with my dad, alter Biffs future so he becomes our butler, and write Johnny B Goode.

I would say "There is no end game, you will be max level & full exotics two weeks after launch, and even WvW will only keep you entertained for another 2-3 weeks."
I'd tell myself to wait for a free trial. Or simply not buy it. B2P is still too expensive when you can't force yourself to play the game more than 30 hours.

The winning lottery numbers, so I didn't have to work as much and had more time to play GW2.
