Does such a game exist?

I been playing Warcraft for past 8 years and im fed up with it lol, I have played alot of other MMO aswell but I have never found a game that offers what Warcraft does.

I dont care about the graphics and I dont care about how smooth the game looks and controls im not bothered if the game feels clunky etc

Leveling in MMOs for me is the most boring part of the game! Im not a casual leveling player that solos his way to max level then gets bored. Usually takes me a max of 1 week to get max level in most MMOs as dont take my time.

I am looking for an MMO with solid end game PVE content with the ability to play as hardcore as you like and have a competative scene.

Anyone know of such a game other that Warcraft?

LOTRO (f2p) or Rift may be worth a try.  GW2 and TSW are some of the newer games out, and they both have free trials.  TERA known for great combat.

for hardcore endgame pve your best bet is probably rift.  Leveling is as generic as it gets and it has a solid endgame.  Xpac Launches today too so its the perfect time to catch up with everyone

I know I did the wow -> eve transition in tier 9.

I have played Eve and I really like it! However I beleave its mainly PVP and Zergs / political stuff. While it is an awesome game I wouldnt put it in the same category as your normal MMORPGs.

I played the trial of RIFT but that was about it so I might give that ago!!

Ah ok, well I played it got to a battlecruiser ship i think for the most part I was running missions and did a bit of exploration/scanning etc and some mining lol Also did a tiny bit of roaming PVP was good fun! Only problem is takes awhile before you can start earning alot of moneys and to be able to fly the good ships :P

Dark Age of Camelot, that's about it. Any game that came out in the last 8 years has WoW's moronic tierred raiding system.

Vanguard and EQ2 have a vast amount of content. Vanguard is a pure PVE game with a vast open world with no instances and 19 races, 15 classes, open world housing, ship building and a deep crafting system. It's not a hold your hand MMO but you reckon you are hardcore well nows your chance to see how hard core you really are.

EQ2 and Rift have a heavy focus on endgame PvE, so does AoC.

Though, I'd ask you, do you want quantity or quality?

Age of Conan has some of the best group and raid instances I've come across, though they aren't as numerous as other MMOs.

AOC is my suggestion also.  The PVE in Tortage is worth it on its own.

Ken Fisher - Semi retired old fart Network Administrator, now working in Network Security.  I don't Forum PVP.  If you feel I've attacked you, it was probably by accident.  When I don't understand, I ask.  Such is not intended as criticism.

I definitely reccomend Rift. And with the new expansion released today, you will be able to compete in the high end raid scene if you get to end game fast enough!
