My god this game is a killa... best graphics i've ever seen in a game.. now this game is worth buying... www.projectoffset.com

Yeah I've been following Project Offset for several months. Have their site in my Favorites list. It's about time we get a good fantasy FPS. There hasnt been a good fantasy FPS since Hexen back in the early 90's (unless you count Enclave for the consoles). I'm sick and tired of shooting Aliens , Demons and Zombies.
The only bad thing about this game is that by the time it is finished and a distributor is found most of us will probaly be living in retirement homes.
Yeah heard the Release date was 1/1/07? something like that, but hey i guess it's worth the wait :P

Well if you have been following them then you would know that the "project" is a development of a ENGINE. Naturally the game release will be put on the shelf to work on fixing the engine. The game is sort of a "show off" to show the engine in action, but the game does look cool.
Also how can anyone in there right mind compair a FPS against a mmorpg??
Why will a singleplayer fantasy fps kill a mmorpg? They are in 2 so different genres. 2 genres that don't have anything to do with each other. It's like saying Quake 4 killed World of Warcraft.
But Project Offset looks nice. I will play it but I won't stop playing mmo's because of a singleplayer game.
my bad.. i guess i should say.. the Graphics will kill it.. u know..

agreed, and that game looks wayyy to early to pass any kind of judgment, it could turn out t be a piece of crud with fancy graphics. I agree that visuals aren't everything, but they help a whole lot when the game is actually good.
Everquest 2 is a great example, the game is great and if your system can handle it the graphics are simply breathtaking, adding to the immersion and overall enjoyment of the game.

Hmmm...OK, but as far as the EQ2 example is concerned, i personally do not agree i am afraid...
i find the gameplay boring, monotonous and unworthy...if it was not for the graphics, there isn't much this game can offer at all!! The only thing i like are the graphics indeed, but even so, that still isn't enough to persuade me to play...
As far as the graphics in general are concerned, i don't think it matters much in a game if its graphics are Shite, as long as the game is enjoyable, interesting, challenging and most of all - FUN!! So I will play such game, even if the graphics are crap, just simply because ill be far too busy having fun, than even noticing the looks...
Wow a remeber being excited about this game over a year ago. Still looks good, but I am sceptical they will ever finish it.
ya ya... There have been so many EQ killers and EQ is still there. Alive and well.

I still play EQ.. that game will never die i say... to addictive... but they kinda f**k3d it up.. back in 2000 it was the best.. now for some reason.. it isnt the same.. i always thought SOE F**k3d it up
