Will Steam users still need a Station Account?

I see that you can download Planetside 2 from Steam. Will I still need to register a new account with Station to play?

    Yes of course you do, just like you need an EA account to play Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Battlefield 2142 from Steam.

    The Steam program just pops up the SOE launcher and from there you have to enter your SOE account info, and then in turn can enter the game with a now supported Steam HUD.

    So you still need a station account, but you can still use your station cash at least!
