Diablo 3 Fact or Fiction??? (Come and Find Out)

AlecreinAlecrein Member Posts: 2

image It comes sweeping back at us like a whirling storm image

We try to comprehend how great a Diablo 3 will be, considering that D2 Was Simplying amazing and still is.

But, if Diablo 3 were real then we would know about it.

Blizzard has a reputation for holding back titles, But in that fact you are mistaken.

Blizzard Never wants to keep it's Fans in the dust so what they do is they simply Tell people too early that they are making this game.

And as the saying goes.    "It's Blizzard Dam it, it will be Awesome" "it's Blizzard Dam it, it will take forever"

Right now blizzard is focused on WoW, and Starcraft: Ghost so i do not believe they will be coming about with a D3 Anytime soon.

Diablo 2 killed the Diablo series -.- Diablo was so much better than its sequel... but Blizzard had better not even think about working on a Diablo 3 before they release a Starcraft 2

Do not forget that the managment structure of Blizzard has changed.  With that change we have no idea how this company will go.  I fear for the future of Blizzard games :(

Why is it that blizzard has completely ignored making a sequal for one of their current 3 PC games, StarCraft?  There are three WarCraft games, never liked the series, don't play it.  There are two Diablo games, liked diablo, but got boring real fast.  But, one StarCraft title with one expansion.  Sure they are developing Star Craft ghost, but there are hundreds of fun FPS games, only reason I will play this one is because it has the Blizzard name on it.  StarCraft is the only RTS that has kept my interest for longer than 2 months.  I got the game years ago and I still play it.

There would only be one reason I would accept them never making another StarCraft title.  If the made a MMORPG StarCraft, like wow, but with everyones three favorite races.  Maybe even add a new race?

I doubt they will even make a D3,since Diablo 2 basically ruined all the fun.

i didn't really enjoy diablo because ( probably entirely due to my own assumptions ) i thought it was going to be a mmorpg, it really wasn't... i got a barbarion to 60something then uninstaled the game due to lack of depth. i can see how alot of people think it's fun, but i got bored with it pretty quickly.

Unfortunatly D2 is a game that cannot be changed much anymore. Their is only so much hack and slash. Then you get bored. They need to make like 2000 levels and Billions of items before ite worth playing again. They might aswell go try to make MMORPG like World of Warcraft. The only game that might match Everquest would be FFXI because it being made by the same company

Blizzard has multiple development teams but I am not sure what the D2 development team moved onto after D2 was released.  (I think the guys that left were the leaders of the D2 team)

I also think the guys that left because of their next project.  Something about wanting to work on a different type of project.  They could very well not want to do a D3 and left.

thye were the leader of everything, well they played a big part in them anyway. warcraft, starcraft, diablo. will we ever see a starcraft 2??? that wut u shood be askin, stupid diablo 3.

Diablo 1 was great for the simple fact of... well... it was simple. It appealed to all our "n33d 4 p{-}@7 13w7z" trying to get unique or "better than what he/she has" item whore in us all... as well as randomizing the dungeons so it wasn't the EXACT same map over and over again. In a way I think this is a tad cooler than EQ (I know D1 or 2 isn't a MMORPG, but AO had the random dungeon creation) for the fact that it's random rather than 'this mob will always have X chance to drop Y item' so I must camp the hell out of it, and it's going to be at or near these cords every time. Soooo I do have to give credit where credit is due... it's a good pioneer that more games should follow in it's footsteps.

I also agree with ya SatansDisciple, Starcraft 2 COULD be a mega-hit and just what people need... I still know people that play the original a ton, besides, who doesn't know what a "Zerg Rush" means... :D

blah, it took on a whole new meaning when i played daoc... its just a group of noobs on the battlegrounds. it will always make me think of starcraft though! if blizzard ever makes another mmorpg, ill bet it would be based on starcraft. diablo is allrdy too close to that, and i bet theyd do some kool stuff with an sc mmorpg. i still love the original though.

I remember reading somewhere that if World of Warcraft kicks off like they hope it will they'll make a Star Craft mmorpg first.  They said that they've enjoyed creating World of Warcraft and wish to see others flourish in it.

I also found out why Bill Roper left Blizzard.  He helped build Blizzard from the ground up a few years ago, back around in 94.  Invinidi (however you spell it) flat out told him NO to what he wanted.  He wanted to become more invovled w/the sales of their games.  When Roper was told no he decided to leave Blizzard, along w/three of their closest advisers.

I hope Roper funds his own business off of what he learned from Blizzard, the business would be uber.

OMG, that's exactly what I've been wishing for!  Hope we don't have to wait 5 years before hearing any more on this.

maybe if they just made a savage-esque game based on starcraft that would be sweet.

It aint happening so you might as well stop talking about it... Blizzard North are the guys you are probably talking about...and they're fed up with constantly doing Diablo2 oriented stuff... they wanna run away as far as possible from the word DIABLO... so i doubt it... and the recent management change, wasnt that just Roper?

I think Diablo II was and is brilliant. Diablo was good fun, but Diablo II... that's a really amazing game. It's hard to find what makes it so enjoyable, but it is one of the very few games I am still playing frequently after over a year of owning it. Diablo III would be great but Blizzard has changed a lot, so I don't know if they'll even consider making it...
