Describe the best MMORPG that you would want to play.
I'm kind of curious to see what kind of game people want to play around here. Weather it would be a shooter, fantasy, adventure, etc etc.

id really like a fantasy mmorpg with diablo 2 style and quality graphics but with the content thats avaialble to the newer releases. crafting and tradeskills lots of items player houseing yadda yadda so on and so forth.
i like the idea of forcing people to be interdependant like allowing one skill at first like mining or smithing then they need the other people to help them but i think later on when they have a high level in that skill they can adopt a new one. and i think they should be able to drop any skill to learn a new one but they always start at lvl 1
i like really big worlds but most huge worlds lack dungeons and they are really fun
also party systems are cool
i like the idea of pets and taming and mountable things like horses or bears with the ability to make them attack stuff. and carts of diffrent capcities you can mount to horses to transport a large amount of good and that also increase your capasity for afk player shops. but id give the shops a time limit like 36 hours before disconnect.
but one thing current mmorpgs lack is items they have one set of armor for a certain level range so everyone looks the same . i think there should be like 20 to 30 items per class race whatever per level range from low grade cheap items to high grade exspensive items with all diffrent shapes and colors and styles.
lastly pigs dont have gold so if you kill a pig or a bear it shouldnt drop gold however it should be lootable to get food or animal skin or claws or teeth or whatever. loot should make sense from mobs bandits have gold sheep dont.
theres wayyyyyyyyyyyy to much to list im not a programmer so ill never be able to make my own mmorpg but if i could i think many people would be interested
i think runescape got close but the shitty graphics and the lack of items and quest made it fall short notto mention the world is sooooo small for a game like that there needs to be a map where it would take you a real life year to exsplore most of it if you played 24/7. dofus also came close but the tactical combat was too slow for alot of people. and again the tiny world was easily exsplored cept moon island
people complain about big maps cause it takes so long to walk across it. duh its a big map it will take longer.
Genre doesnt really matter to me too much. I enjoy Fantasy and SciFi settings both, but I would love to see an Old West online game there hasnt been one of those yet.
I really want to play Skill based games and opposed to Level based games. Skill based are just more fun, where as level based games lend themselves to level grinding and weapon treadmills.
The same for classless games. These allow the player to have more freedom and allow them to play the kind of character they want to play and not a class clone.
Large worlds are a plus as long as they have a good travel system, I dont want to spend half my playing time getting from one city to the next.
PvP is a bonus but it should be controlled in some way. Consensial PvP is the key, wether this comes down to picking a faction that will be non-pvp or pvp in certain zones is up in the air. But i firmly believe that for a game to succead it needs to both allow players to fight eachother and at the same time allow people to abstain from it if they dont enjoy it.
I really likes Planetside and it is to an extent a MMO. I would like to see more innovation like this showed.
Runescape on the engine Guild Wars uses, that or a good looking MMORPG with a lot of things to do. Perferably a FPS or another kind of first person type thing.

well, i've played alot of online games(in beta version and retail)
and i have to say if they made nexus(kingdom of the winds) from a 2d game to somthing that uses the linage2 engine or any of those korian clone games that seem to be coming out all the time, it woule a good start.
the reason i liked nexus so much was 4 things
1. good communty, if you were an idiot, u didn't get help from any longterm player
2. great skills systems, they have 4 types of crafting(wool based, wood based, metal based, gems/ambers) this gave everyone enought to do, and each crafting type had levels starting with gathering systems, onto basic production(turning gathered items into useable products) then final production(turning the useable product into items/cloths/weapons) that can then be sold for profit or used.
3. markers that were acivable, the exp system was good because unlike most mmorpg's at the moment, the exp didn't go down at each level, if you killed a cat and got 60 exp points at level5, at lvl 50 it would still give you 60 points.
4. life after lvl 99(u had a limit of getting from lvl 1 to 99, lvl's 1 to 10 were basically part of the tutoral, and with 4 path's(warrior/rogue/mage/poet) each char knew exactly how it worked and stuff, and to win a PvP battle wasn't just who put more time into skilling up coz the spell system worked the old fashion way(u got the spell, that's it, no lvl1, then use for an 1hr to get it to lvl 2) so u needed to use your brain to kill others.
sorry for going on so much about it, but it was a major part of my life for serval years and i still have good friends who i met there. a 3d version of nexus Kingdom of the winds would be awesome and i'd pay $10 - $15 a month for it.
sig below is for those who know the game
