let me tell you this :  Try it out ..

if your monitor res isnt high  you might be still on the good side with ur gpu

if your cpu isnt too  low clocked also

if your OS isnt pooped wtih fancy  stuff and shittons of startups youre m8 be still good

Or am I stuck with running the game on low?

Your CPU have 2 cores (cpu's) not 4 of them.  It has hyperthreading so it can work 4 threads but it is still 2 cores. Instead of 4 cores on most i5 and on most i7.

Also your GPU is preety weak.

hyperthreading only adds marginal perfomance boosts  and you wont even see that in game

Multiplatform games arent  focused on PC so you can scratch the quad form ur list

if he isnt on HD resolution it should be ok

The one thing you have going for you is your CPU has a fast clock.  PS2 has one mega thread that does most of the work and several smaller secondary ones that are off loaded to other cores.  So having a smaller number of faster cores is better than a bunch of slower ones.  You will defanenlty be GPU bound.

I have a 2600K running at 4.5Ghz with a 560ti and run on medium in the range of 50 fps consistently (I have v-sync on so never pass 60) and alt-f shows me as GPU bound (not sure I completly believe that).  The game looks ok and plays pretty well with that makeup.

You quite possibly are GPU bound, similar overclock on my i5 but using a 7850 and i get anywhere between 50-90ish fps depending what's going on with settings maxed apart from shadows on medium. With shadows on high it would dip to the 40's.

I run in high settings and see no framerate issues.

    i5 @ 3.6

    8 GB RAM

    GTX 560 Ti
