Would you like more? We can do this all day if you want.
Let me give you a bit of advice, rookie. Before coming on a forum proclaiming things you know nothing about, you would be well advised doing a bit of research before hand.
*laughs some more*
Let me give you a bit of advice, rookie. Before coming on a forum proclaiming things you know nothing about, you would be well advised doing a bit of research before hand. Perhaps that is why you keep linking proof Nexon ruins games by never actually talking about the games they have ruined, link to proof of games they have ruined...or even come close to staying on topic.
But I do thank you for the "company" review and a link where former employee's talk bad about them which we all know, is something to go by. Perhaps in your next post you can prove to me Nexon ruins games by giving a link to Nexons company christmas party where everyone was given a cheap $2 gift.
*would laugh more but instead died a little inside from the mass stupidity being shown by fellow humans*
You don't know when to give up, do you? Don't get me wrong, I do understand your dilemma in this situation. You are so full of butthurt over this that you cannot seem to let it go, but your bigger problem right now is that the deeper you dig into this mess the sillier you come off looking. It wouldn't be so bad for you if it weren't for the fact that all of the facts are so obviously against you. I've provided you with link after link with hundreds of reviews of which when looked at in their totality, answer your very question ... and yet you persist.
I'll tell you what, my friend. The fact that you are wasting my time notwithstanding, I also happen to be a man of great compassion. So here you go ...
Now pass the bong. Supposed to be puff, puff, give...
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
Originally posted by Normandy7 It is called damage control. This just proves even more there is no accountability from developers.
lol, no. If you post off-topic (which he did) they will move your posts. If you post a thread off forum-subset, or call out ANet employees, they'll infract you and/or move your thread. Especially if you're obviously concern trolling.
The forums are for the game, not some idiotic faux analysis of Nexon buying ANet shares or other stupid concern trolling crap.
Moral of the story is: Follow the rules and don't concern troll.
Am I the only one who things that the OP's post was just a 'clever' way to say that "Nexon took over and the game sucks now?"
Yeah, it was a classic concern troll. What I find amazing is that people, in this day and age, still get sucked into falling for that 'poor me, I did nothing wrong' crap when it comes to ANet (or frankly most developers).
So far it's been close to 100% poster being wrong.
We've seen it with the guys and their macros -- "It's not botting!" We've seen it with the racists, the bigots, the jerk-offs with their swearing and verbal abuse. We've seen it with the people who use the same password EVERYWHERE and cry when they've been hacked. With WoW we've seen them all swear it's Blizzard being hacked when their computers are full of trojans and keyloggers from the gold-sellers they bought gold from...
You broke their forum Code of Conduct, plain and simple. Opinions, etc, etc, etc, are all held accountable no matter if you think you did no wrong. These rules are in all forums so I suggest you read them again to make sure you do not receive another infracture.
P.S- Your opinion on your topic could have caused problems. You honestly do not know for sure if the original team is gone. You got what was due for doing it. Live with it like we all have when we get infractures, warnings, and bans for having opinions as well. It's really good advice
Have you actually looked at the official forums and seen what threads are there and the opinions others have placed? those threads are still there, and I would say some of them are a lot more strong in opinions than what I put.
If you poop in someone's home, expect a reaction. Did you not think there would be a reaction?

LacedOpium: "So the question that begs to be asked is, if you are not interested in
the game mechanics that define the MMORPG genre, then why are you
playing an MMORPG?"
Arenanet has *always* been this way. a bit dictatorial for me, but then again, you don't get the constant flame wars like you do in other forums.
"There are at least two kinds of games. One could be called finite, the other infinite. A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, an infinite game for the purpose of continuing play." Finite and Infinite Games, James Carse
Read the YELLOW highlighted line - you called out staff and it got deleted and then banned. Plain and simple.
So that forum rule gives ANet to power to remove any post that even mentions the company or staff no matter what it's about, yeh that's much better. (psst, it's not really better, it's much worse; no more free speech).
If the OP did get that post deleted then it's bad. The post clearly shows they don't really know if the GW2 team is different for anyone that can actually read english. It was used as a way to exaggerate their point.. a way of saying 'this isn't the same game anymore'
Plus, the moderators notes don't even make any sense.. unless it was in the wrong section.
lol. I knew someone would say this... Free speech (which is limited, btw) is between YOU and the GOVERNMENT.
It is not between any private entites. Or, in short form: There is no free speech on private property. Period.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." <--1st Amendment for those confused about what "Freedom of Speech" actually is, it is NOT your right to go into any restaurant/internet forum/grocery store and start saying whatever you want. If said owners of any of those listed examples does not want such said/written or otherwise expressed in/on THEIR property, they reserve the right to remove/censor it.
Edit: Did you follow their advice and send in an appeal of your moderation?
Erm... If/when he does that he will discover a whole new level of red tape.
Basically if you appeal given the link to an email (that you get with your infraction) you recieve a return email 10 minutes later with a link to NCSoft's support system and not ArenaNets. Difference being ArenaNet seems to usually respond within 24 hours - NCSoft: Somewhere between a week and infinity!
When someone said Thanks ArenaNet (Was in the title but I doubt he got an infration) and proceeded to explain that he realized that ArenaNet were the developers behind CoX.
It was a complete surprise to me and I responded: What???
And OFC I promptly recieved an infraction...
And YES: What??? is worthy of an infraction on GW2 Forums... Talk about sensitive!
(Hint: Hit the links for an image of SS or it did not happen)
A 1 worded post is useless and does not add to the discussion at all. They were right to infract you and remove your post.
I don't know what is more useless: a 1 worded response or the brain cells in that idiot's head for thinking ArenaNet had anything to do with City of Heroes/Villains (commonly reffered to as CoX)
Here is what you should have said in your response:
"Cryptic Studios created and developed City of Heroes/Villains. In 2007 NC Soft bought the rights to the franchise and created Paragon Studios who continued to develop the games."
And then post a wikipedia link to prove the person was stupid and didn't know what they were talking about.

Nexon is a great company!
How's that? Feel better?
Take care, little buddy.
Yes...simply shocking they would mod that.
