Need help picking an eu server

in Guild Wars 2
Any advice on a good EU server to join? The most important factors for me would be the number of mature guilds around and the level of pvp both in the WvWvW and the battleground type things.   Seeing as there isn't any server forums, seems like it's difficult to get a feel for each server's community and make an educated decision.  Any advice on server selection would be appreciated.

    I would also suggest Gandara.

    Ours is a mature guild and we're on Gandara, which is a busy EU server. However, neither our guild or the Gandara server are especially PvP focused, so I'd look  at one of the other ones. There are certainly others more suited to your requirements. Look at this site for much better info:

    Gandara isn't pvp focused? I'm not overly bothered what the focus is but I don't want to be participating in WvWvW and end up grouping with a group of idiots who constantly don't know what to do or have no interest in learning how to play properly. Would I be best avoiding Gandara then?

    Gandara is something in between PvE and PvP, mixed.

    Two things.

    1: you can transfer once a week if you are not happy with the server you choose, I'm on Blacktide and its seems very healthy.

    2: this is to others, whats the the unofficial RP server in the EU?
