How do u skip cutscenes?

Is it just me or there is no way to skip cutscenes? So annoying and they are so long.

    I've seen the "press ESC to skip" text in the upper left a few times, but I think most of them you're just forced to sit there and take it.

    Heh you guys are missing one major point.  It's not that the cutscenes have long text and can't be skipped.  It's that they are horribly horribly slow.  Like it puts down 1 word every 5 seconds.  Its a ridiculously slow rate.  The cutscenes are normally just a handful of sentences, its just that its uber uber slow.  I suppose this could be fixed and either sped up or let you press spacebar to just read the text instead of watching it flow in like molasses, but who knows if it will be addressed. 

    IMPORTANT:  Please keep all replies to my posts about GAMING.  Please no negative or backhanded comments directed at me personally.  If you are going to post a reply that includes how you feel about me, please don't bother replying & just ignore my post instead.  I'm on this forum to talk about GAMING.  Thank you.

    Sounds like the game is tuned for Japanese's much lower character per word ratios.

    It's evidently also attuned to Japan's low MMO gaming expectations.
