Honestly. It's called the Repopulation, and the most important part of repopulating is the making of babies. I expected this to be a mmorpg porno and was greatly disapointed.

lol, Seems im losing interest in this game, once i noticed their release date was dec 2012 i kinda put it on the back burned and have big doubts regarding the hero engine and a sandbox MMO.
I also really dislike how they are attempting to get more money from different ad campaigns, really seems like Repop is a money grab game and might be a complete disaster of a game.

I'll suggest adding a recipe for babies ...
Like baby stew?
I thought he meant like:
Take one single male.
Chill in cold shower for 3 months.
Add one night on the town.
Add three 12 oz. cans of beer.
Add one moderately attractive female.
Add one bottle of red wine.
Add two shots tequilla.
Put on the dance floor for 20 min.
Turn, girate and rotate often.
Note: at this stage, do not mix the male and female together, though touching will not affect the final outcome
Add one hotel room.
Mix male and female together.
Add a lifetime of regret.
and Voila!
----------------------------------------
Substitute: You can create a baby just as easily by reversing the male and the female in the instructions above.

Release date is not December 2012. It's some time in late 2013. Hero Engine can build any type of MMO, first person shooter, sandbox, action rpg, etc. Last but not least, the game has never ran any type of ad campaign.

Some of us are rooting for the game and we're helping crowd fund it. There's nothing wrong with that. It's a game paid for by people who want to play it instead of people who just want to make money from it.
As far as I can see the Hero Engine isn't the problem. People buying a half finished project and re-engineering it might be a bit of a problem. The good news is that the Hero Engine is built to be an MMO platform. Unlike some other engines that make for beautiful games but not necessarly solid MMOs.
Also, nothing wrong with a sandbox MMO. They can be fun if it's your bag.
Keep up the good work JC the folks who know about The Repop are excited about it.
Sorry for getting off topic about the baby recipe, although the baby oil bit had me laughing.
I think by ad compaign he/she meant the crowd funding (which of course we have done). Either way, they had the release date wrongly listed here for awhile and we fixed it back in the summer I believe. Beta is slated to start in Spring 2013 and hopefully we can hit our release date of Q4 2013 as is currently listed now.
Some people will want to support us as a "vote" for the kind of product they are looking for while others will want to be cautious till they see more or get to play test, which is completely understandable. That being said, as you can see by the monthly updates we are keeping busy and looking forward to letting a few more eyes in early next year.
I've been out of the loop for a while but must admit after watching the trailer for this game it looks pretty decent good luck with it guys look forward to giving it a go at launch.

(est.rel Q4 2013) it says above, not sure if it was just updated, but it's not 2012. money is money, TOR had 300 million look at the results, poor outcome. Repopulation doesn't have a big money man like EA. they must do what they have to do to make ends meet, unless you are going to fund them? sure there are not many investors interested in dumping cash into mmo's after seeing the corporate companies flop on their wow clones. they will succed for the fact they are doing something different as they already have a big following. as for HeroEngine, you need to read up on how Bioware purchased an unfinished version 7 years ago, heroengine cloud is 6 years later of fixing bugs and optimizing performance, 2 completely different engines. best.

Where do you think baby-oil comes from?
It's funny you say that, I thinkg I'm the only one as a kid that put baby oil and vegetable oil in the same area of oils. They mash vegetables to get that oil...they have to smash babies to get baby oil...Used to be so scared of that stuff lol. #5yearold XD
this is a trend i have noticed in more than one mmo over the years. all of the female characters (npc's or not) have a tendency to produce noises with a highly sexual implication in combat or when dying.

this is something that used to be even more pronounced in older mmo's where there weren't even any children. let alone the means of bringing them about.
in SWG, preNGE, i remember after a few weeks of reading folks' biographies while waiting for a shuttle, that not only was the galaxy lacking any pre-adult sentient beings. but that somewhere along the line the galaxy had lost all of its parents as well. almost every bio w/o exception stated that the player character was an orphan. leading my friends and i to the conclusion that the galaxy was a giant orphanage for adult children.

OWON (One World, One Nation) and FPR (Free People’s Republic). are the two nations , however you can have rogue nations as well, but pretty sure OWON apposes children being born which is one of the reasons the two nations are at war.
