I think I reported it in the news thread, but Nvida was pushing AA hard during G*Star 2012.
Anyways it's now official that Nvida and XL games have formed a partnership to market ArcheAge throughout the world.
Nvida has been working with Xl games to bring the latest and most advanced tech ever found in a MMO.
ArcheAge will be the first MMO to use DirectX 11 Tessellation and TXAA Anti-Aliasing. To create graphics never seen before in a MMO.
Here are some comparability pics between Dx9 and DX11 Tessellation.

It does look very pretty. Nice.
As an aside, AA isn't the first MMOG to feature TXAA and DX11 tessellation - TSW already does.

LOL this is exactly what i thought. I would take dx9 to play right now!!
Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

Cool.
Now when the heck is this game out in the west?
+1 lol. dont need dx11. give me AA noooooooooowwwww121212131123sdknlsdxmf nv sngl!!!!!!
I will wait until release to say anything. All this would mean you have to have a really good graphics card. It also may mean by this that are limiting who can play because many do not have absolutely up to date graphics cards.
Actually you don't have to worry, the engine is well optimized, even with a GF260 the game is running smooth on high graphics settings, and its looks freakin amazing, but... ofc playing with an older graphic card like this you will not enjoy the DX11 features (for tessallation GF470+ needed, but due 1+ year when the game comes out, that won't be a problem).
For example, if your PC ran GW2 smoothly, than it will run AA too, and on even higher FPS, and that with much better graphics. You just can't compare Hero engine with CryEngine, its pointless.

Exclusive deals with nvidia (or AMD) are bad news - good games work well on both.
You have no idea what tesselation does, do you?
Take a look at the rocks in the side of the tower. It's a flat stone texture, tesselated in the lower screenshot.
frankly Dx9 or DX11 i couldnt careless. rather just play the game, then worry about a flat texture over a more fancy one.
also maybe its just me but the first set of pics the d11 looks like they turned bloom on O-o cause it seems brighter which as far as im aware has nothing to do with dx9 or 11 but no matter, game looks nice stil would rather play it then look at the pictures.
I don't even care about graphics anymore. They used to matter, but now everything looks good enough. I'm playing Far Cry 3 and GW2 now and would have a hard time choosing which one of them is more pleasing visually, despite FC3 being clearly superior technically.
TXAA is good, though. At least it's not FXAA.
I do have it sir, except that it's such a minor difference it's not even worth mentioning. Usually screenshots comparisons are made to be striking, in order to show the supposed difference in the best possible way; this is the complete opposite.
By the way, as others said, AA is already a graphics powerhouse as it is - and I can confirm it, having played the latest CBT5.
