After 5.1 I'm starting to think that maybe Pandaria is even better than Burning Crusade, which was my favorite. Outland was an awesome place to explore, and The Black Temple and Kil'jaeden fights were the best raids ever in a game. I always wanted them to bring back the capturable objects in the open world, but they haven't done that since Burning Crusade...until now. They're back now I hope as this expansion progresses, and the War spreads, that other zones will have capturable positions added as well. There's nothing more fun than seeing 100 horde trample over 100 Alliance or vis versa. In Burning Crusade, I spent hours in Hellfire capping the areas, and now with 5.1 that feeling is back. To make them better is the war is zone wide, not just one little area of the zone. It goes all along the coast +1 MoP
I came back after skipping most of Cata and have been happy for the most part to have something decent to play after a bunch of disappointing games. CC is out of control in the game now though. It's always been bad but right now...I would type more but "You can't do that while you're feared" ....feel free to replace fear with any other of the 100 or so CC abilities.
This expansion is one of the best(TBC being the best expansion of any mmo). The fun factor outweights the crappy daily quests, hands down.
Fanboys gon' fan.
Locking end game behind Dailies was the worst mistake they ever made.
Yeah, I don't know if I'm a huge fan of the way Blizzard is shoving the daillies down our throats ATM. It's getting a little old, and now they just added more with the last patch.
As long as they don't change the rule sets on PvE servers, people can gank and grief each other to their hearts content, as far as I care. I totally burned out on WoW PvP, in my first year and a half on death wing (PvP) realm.
Wow was fun in highschool with my friends and only wow vanilla. BC destroyed it for me. Can't even imagine playing a game with the stationary gameplay again.
man , I hate dailys, I can't buy any valor gear because I have no reputation, so I don't even bother doing dungeons, lol... Maybe, someday I might actually suffer through enough dailys to have some reputation (.
heh , if they allowed that pvp on pve most players wouldn't even be in those areas for the pve quests because of how cheap pvp cc abilities are...
Yeah, gotta love dying to rogues because they pop out of stealth and chain stun lock, and how many times I died to rogues in pvp without getting to land a single hit, like there's any skill in that, Lol...
Originally posted by syntax42 I'm hoping this is all leading to peace between the Alliance and Horde. The next expansion should feature a new island and a new bear-themed class whose main power shoots rainbows of love at players. PvP arenas will be /hug contests instead of killing each other and the gear for it will require you to equip warmer, softer coats so your hugs are more effective. Wrapping up World of Warcraft will allow everyone to move on to Blizzard's next MMO.
Oh WoW had those from day 1....They are called the Carebears.....

Lol @ person on pve severs complaining they feel they are being gated into pvp events.. As a member on illidan server (pvp) this patch has surely heat up the conflict a bit, but as the saying goes "nothing lasts forever", so i'm expecting in a few week for horde and alliance to just see each other and ignore each other..
Uh, there is PvP on PvE servers my friend, you just don't go around flagged all the time.
Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
I still haven't exhausted what 5.0 offered, so this is great - I won't run out of content. As far as "stuff to do" goes WoW is so beyond anything else on the market it's offensive to even start comparing...

If you mean stationary as standing there and fighting, that's all gone now. In Raids you're almost constantly on the move. This is good and bad. It's good because you actually have to look at where you're standing in comparison to what's on the ground, where the boss is standing/facing, etc. It's bad for casting characters as alot of casting dps is now the lowest dps by far. If you solo with a casting DPS (i.e. boomkin) you will find your spells get interrupted about 50% of the time, sometimes 100% of the time, and you're stuck using moonfire to down some mobs, and this isn't even in raids. If that was good/bad enough, you have to move alot even while fighting normal mobs, alot of them have charge-up abilities that do very high damage. I actually love it that I have to keep on the move.
This was the worst thing about Cata and WotLK. You used to just stand in one spot, casting spells until your target died. It's no longer anywhere near that. You constantly have to move. I love the daily system. i wish each faction had more dailies, maybe 6-7 cycles instead of the 4-5 they have now, but it's a step in the right direction.
5.1 has a very good story and is very story driven. You do have to do more dailies, but the rewards are greater and the story is really good. I've done it on both alliance and horde several times (3 horde, 2 alliance) fully, it's great. The only thing I don't like about MoP in general is the valor cap, but that's there so people like me don't get bored. I can get 2000 valor points a day, if there wasn't a cap. I'd have 489+ ilvl on a character every week or so lol. But it's not so slow that it's boring to me. My monk has ilvl 501

Daily, daily, daily, daily, daily, daily, daily, more daily no rep tabard, daily daily daily daily.
The brawlers guild looks interesting.
Glad they got rid of the Rep Tabards. No more spending your life in the Lobby (city) queued for instanced content.
