question about npc's

My question is about npc agro, Do they chase you forever like EQ 1 or can you run them off?

    Hope they reset, or someone can smack your favorite npc and pull it away so you can't talk to them :(

    they will eventually stop but they will still be aware that you are there so they haven't technically 'reset' .. it's like they are looking for you and is ready to attack again, you could also shake them off by being stealthy but they won't reset until they are completly despawned which takes a while

    They stop following after a while but are still aware of your presence

    Sounds good....also..do you take a faction hit if you attack/kill a npc in town? kinda sounds a bit like Skyrim to me.

    Neutral npcs (vendors, quest-givers) are invulnerable.

    Mobs in the world will chase you as far as their leash range allows. They will chase you further if you attacked them. Aggro is determined both by vision and sound (hiding and sneaking will actually affect aggro).
