First Impressions

 

Well after one night of falling at the end of a jumping puzzle. I think I did enough to put something up on this event so far. I really liked the flaw and ease of the jumping puzzle. It wasn’t too hard it was actually cool to witness. The overall feel of Lion’s Arch is very festive. But I do have a complaint on that feel. If you go to the other edges of the city it’s like ok it’s snowing now we are back in the jungle in the sun.

I feel if your going to make a area change seasonal everywhere else should change too. That aside the look of the area done up in snowy decor is cool. Next thing I like is the Guitar Heroish chior game. It’s actually pretty hard and different so no complaint there. Last I’d like to touch on the Snow Fight pvp action. While it is fun and interesting. People are exploiting in it. So Anet I wont name names take a look at it.

Oh one last thing I hope Wintersday gifts drop more than raggidy clothes……Even if they are vendor token like items. I still hope to see something rare in them. Hmm what do you guys think? We still got Tixx who is showing up in a few hours. Having fun or not so much?

    It's official this event has the same bugged drop rates and non rare loot as the last one. And to make it worse NONE of the cash shops rare skins drop anywhere. You gotta buy them not that I'm that shocked about that anyway lol..

    actually, you are wrong.  I got a "ticket" that dropped and I had to return it to someone in Lion's Arch near the Trading Post.  In exchange for the ticket, I was able to obtain the weapon skins that are being sold on the cash shop.

    AHH - so far no. I think you meaybe just aggrivated from the last time.

    So far, I have 1 hammer skin, 2 focus skins, 6 choir bells, and  a superior altruism rune. Those are all looted from Wintersday gifts.  I'll agree that the drop rate feels low, but with 2 weeks of event time, I think it's suitable. I still would prefer the "finish the jumping puzzle once and win an exotic" but I guessing that too many people complained.  Still, the jumping puzzle can be farmed pretty easy, and usually when you complete it, you're back just in time to start the next run.

     

    What I am disappointed in, is that the one item that I want, the indestructable choir bell, is not available in the cash shop.

    All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

    I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

    I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

    I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

    I am happy that they are drops and not something you can buy.

    well I would agree if it was a weapon/armor, but as a fluff item, I would really like to know that I will get one.  I'll be able to get one through the TP probably if I can't get one from a present though.

    Well now that its all but a wrap looks like the best stuff in this event can only be purchased. Those kind of celtic glowing desgin weapons don't drop. The parts you get from the dungeon are way too random good luck finishing it. Congrats if you have done it as well. LOL I really can't be bothered at this point way too busy.

    The jumping puzzles, musical bells game and PvP mini game where just to much fun.

     

    However everything concerning Tixx and the Toyship missions i dint´t like that much.  If i do missions, i want them to be heroic and not with childish themes, but then thats my personal opinion, but the toyship missions didnt add anything.

     

    Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

    It seems like they were avoiding the Ish storm the lost shores caused. If you look at LS now it's a ghostland no one goes to except botters trying to hide. I think they scaled back the other way too much in this event. Hopefully we find some kind of balance here.
