Runescape

I played Runescape for 4 years(yes i played durring classic)

Then i switched to GW and WoW

I just started playing RS agin and relized it isnt that bad anymore

there new updates have improzed the game alot

if you dont belive me play for 3-5 hours and give me your opinion

    wow, i gave up RS for world of warcraft and guild wars. i read this post (after quiting both of those games) and decided to give it a shot. i think i'm going to have to become a member because, while lacking in graphics and quests. this game sure as hell isnt repetative lol there is so much to do/train its overwhelming :) imageimage

    The game is very underrated. Especially by people who visit this site..

    It's actually one of the most in depth games out there. YES that does include some of those p2p mmorpgs too.

    Runescape is the only mmorpg that i heard the word noob used 10 different ways ( teaming noob, nub, hacking noob, pure noob, and the infamous noobish noob.) Meh it was ok i played it back in the days but they got the worst community ever.

    sure its got alot to do. but dont other games? and the graphics arent really that great lol
    ppl who play RS are those mmorpgs addicts with dial up connections. nothing personal every1. just my opinion.

    Didn't like the game at all..
    And it's not because of the graphics, it's just the thing that the combat is so incredibly BORING.
    Killing 'stuff' (humps of clay) with my 2-pixel-sword and hearing sounds like *ping* *bleep* *zhurz* *Congratulations, You killed a rat!*

    I played runescape during classic too I was lvl 93 of the Runescape 2 but i got banned cause i this jerk image still a good game though it is alot better than other games cause you can fish mine pk cook and all sort's of stuff than other games i don't go for it because of the graphics cause the graphics are cheap but the game play is amazing!

    Runescape is an ownage game not because of its game play but because of its pvp system..

    iv played almost every MMORPG out there and i must edmit.. RUNESCAPE HAS THE BEST CLAN SYSTEM ALIVE!

    if you dont beleive me download a few wars and u will understand why ;) 300 people vs 200 people etc in wars, how many games do u see that in!? every other game lacks wat runescapes clan system has!

    I played Runescape for a while but leveling up was incredibly slow and dull.  Once I tried WoW I never looked back. image

    I have also played Runescape for 4 years but its hard for me to play it anymore because I have played on it so much. Its a great game but the only problem is that it is so competetive e.g. everyone asks what your levels are and then brags because theirs are higher.image

    I quit RS due to the community. It used to have a number of older players, and the younger ones were at least subdued enough to rarely be irritations. I miss the old "tell" command, which allowed easy private chat with anyone without messing with the buddy list. Now, the community is a bunch of pre-teens and socially inept teenagers that comics such as Penny Arcade and VG Cats mock. They can try, but they cannot exaggerate the idiocy of players there.

    The battle system is horrible, fighting stats are hopelessly skewed towards a few particular builds. I never saw the wars, but PVP was horrible in single combat. A well-trained group would do well, but chances were they'd be griefers.

    Early on, the idiots were actually managable. I let one kid "scam" a mithril longsword off of me. Not much of a loss, really. I just told him if he wanted it so badly that he'd scam, he could keep it. Five minutes later, I got an apology, and I was teaching him some profitable skills so he could buy his own gear.

    I'm not fond of the "3d" look Runescape has taken, not enough improvement for trying to complicate the system so much. Jobs have hit a point where there's lots of 99s around, and few people want services from anyone who hasn't grinded a ridiculous amount of time in a particular skill. Nothing but begging, a selfish-economy trade system where people just wanted premium prices for premium items, and anything lesser was wasteful noobish drivel.

    When lv 50 in a skill meant some people wanted your services, and any real newbie would be head-over-heels if you used your skills for them, supply and demand worked because there wasn't an infinite demand and near-infinite money supply, and people wore armor based on what they could afford and not what they were restricted to, Runescape was quite fun.
