Which new MMORPG's will use the skill system as in UO

I am a great fan of the skill system in UO, but games like WoW don't use this kind of system.

So which upcomming games (or newly released) will use this kind of skill system???

i believe Roma Victor will use a skill system very similar to UO. It should be as in depth if not even more so, in fact.

Too bad Roma Victor is ugly as sin.

Listen Asmodeeus, seven years ago, Ultima Online didn't even have those pathetic "quests" that you refer to or those "professions" of ninja, samurai, necromancer, and paladin. Nor did it have any of the neon crap, or bug mounts. It didn't even have any "combat moves." You turned on attack and jousted with simplistic swings. It was a better game then. if you can't guess why then just uninstall the thing and move along. - Crabby

If darkfall is ever released i believe it will have a similair skill system. It seems to me that is the type system that most people prefer rather than a level treadmill why is it that games keep pouring out the level based crap we see today? Is it easier on the developers to make a level based game as oposed to a skill based game?

Yes, I'm hoping that dungeons and dragons online has a skill building system similar to that in UO, but the old UO, where it took a month to max out a characters skills, or two months. Not the UO with EasyUO and 8x8 where you can max out a character in 3 days.

When it's released it will be prettier. Also, I'm glad the "sub par" graphics will leave the graphics whores out. Those people tend to make the worst community.

Doubtful. Richard Garriot is working for NCSoft now... which is connected to the worsening of UO1.

Also why UOX and stuff never got finished.
