    Greatest ever made? No. 11 million players versus 2 million. The numbers tell it - WOW was the best MMO ever made - TBC through WRATH. Rift vanilla is number 2 for me. GW2 is 3. Everything else is far below. Eve is a gankers lovefest. Beautiful game but not for nice people.

    *yawns* I can understand GW1 fanbois/girls feel cheated with GW2 , and it's understandable. Between Rift and GW2 , you got to be foolish on picking GW2 over Rift , and I don't even play Rift.   Saying GW2 is the best MMO of the year is like saying Diablo 3 is the best come back game of the decade , it's just plain stupid. GW2 is considered another MMO in to the lot , and should remain that way. It doesn't shine anywhere in perticular when compared to previous releases.

    Gw2 is pretty a nice game to play not for a long time ...  after few month of paying, it become rly boring ... 

    I played Gw1 and it was a great game and gw2 not so perfect right now . Mb in few years it will be a nice game to spend time on.

    Well - we shall see what the school fish on this forum say. People were stoked ab out TSW and when it came out they turned on it. Same with GW2, TERA and partially for TSW (the B2P is what really brought out the feeding frenzy).

     

    If you want a game designed the way you want it, go design one and see how people will react to it. I will bet that, this board, will treat it the same as the above mentioned games.

     

    There are very fickle fans on this board.

    Why does it have to be one or the other?  Can it be a good game that is designed in a way as to not promote longevity?  This is my take on it, and It seems to be the devs take on it as well given some of the pre-launch interviews.

    There are fickle fans everywhere. In the end its all about what YOU like. If GW2 isent your cup of tea, oh well move on to the next game. If GW2 floats your boat for however long a strech of time, then by all means play you hearts out.  But i think this topic has been played out on both sides.
