Or atleast according to the megagames website. I don't know wether to trust it or not though. Anyways..for those of you who wanna see for yourself, just head over to the megagames website. I won't post a link because it contains emulators and the like.

Blizzard has made the WoW expansion pack official and we reveal plans to announce Diablo 3, showcasing it with a gameplay demo, this weekend at BlizzCon.

Blizzard has announced the full details of the World of Warcraft expansion pack; The Burning Crusade. The details reported in the leaked expansion pack story we brought you last week were pretty close to those announced today although they were not spot-on. Since the title and general juice of the expansion were correct we can assume that the leak was real, it would seem impossible for a person to accurately guess so many features without some inside help.
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expands the game, adding new races, lands, Battlegrounds, professions and items, and more. Here is just a partial list of what you can expect from the World of Warcraft expansion:

- An increase in the level cap to 70
- Two new playable races, including the magical Blood Elves
- New starting zones in Quel'Thalas and beyond
- The entire new continent of Outland, reachable through the Dark Portal
- Many new high-level dungeons to explore in Azeroth, Outland, and elsewhere
- New flying mounts in Outland
- Many new and dangerous monsters, including epic world bosses
- Hundreds of new quests
- Hundreds of new items
- A new profession: Jewelcrafting
- Socketed items and more...

Diablo 3

Blizzard will also use the BlizzCon event to introduce Diablo 3 to gamers and if the excitement of Blizzard employees is anything to go by, the game will be a big deal. According to a message sent to WoW Guru by former Blizzard employee Chris Hartgraves, Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking ... Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell ... Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability ... Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon.

This is definitely the second most heartwarming story for Blizzard fans, the first being the developer's denial of any plans to bring WoW to XBox 360.

    wait, was your post about WoW expansion or D3?  I was expecting to read about Diablo then i got really confused when 3/4 of it was about WoW.

    How many of the original Blizzard North team that designed Diablo II are still left there? It seems like something happened that irritated most of the best and brightest of the Blizzard staff, because they've all seemed to jump ship to make their own companies. I've been watching Hellgate: London as the spiritual successor to Diablo II, I wonder how Diablo III will turn out.

    I don't really get it. Is Diablo 3 supposted to be a MMORPG? Where you can either join the forces of hell or heaven?

    Would actually be pretty cool...

    It's bullshit. Diablo 3 will never be a mmo. It will follow it's roots, just like every sequel Blizzard has made. If Diablo is going to be a mmo, it won't be Diablo 3.

    Well...I don't think they have ANY intention of making it an mmoRPG but they may go for an MMOG. Just to allow more than what was it...8 people max in  the game world at any given time?

    They are supposed to announce something about it according to this "source" later today. So we'll just have to see.

    Diablo 3 wouldnt be a mmorpg.
    it would steal players from WoW.. which is pointless.
    They would have a few more subscribres, but the bulk would come from WoW.

    it would lower their profits instead of increasing them.

    i dont know a lot of diablo fans will pick a D3 mmo up, and a lot of the WoW fans are there cus their warcraft fans so maybe not

    I think you couldnt make a Diablo MMORPG... You know, its you just dont have races to use....

    In WoW you already had the races, they didnt have to make anything up in order to make the game,.... but in Diablo? What would you use as races? Fallen and undead? Human and Angels? I think the Diablo universe cant really be turned into an MMORPG.

    Yep.

    I'm just saying it would be a cool game. But it wouldn't be diablo 3....
