Should I go with the EU or US version?

Wanting to give this game a try finally and wondering if people think I should download the EU or the US version? I'm from the UK and hear many Europeans stayed on the US servers due to the German company operating the EU one being crap, is this still true or have they got their act together?

    They're ok now. But yeah I don't like this middleman setup for Europe reminds me of goa.
