Havent played since launch, best solo class ?

At launch I played a paladin, wow a great solo class. I could tank, heal, and do decent damage. Plus I didnt have to pay 100g for a mount.

I then played a warlock. This one is a real group pleaser and a challenge to play. Not very good at solo though unless you enjoy watching your pet tank while the mob slowly dies from dots

I played a druid, kind of an odd profession. Not really good at anything but can do a lot. Tank, heal, etc. This one wasnt that popular in groups I noticed.

Im looking for a profession that can solo the best in the game. Im the type where I only want to group for the high level instances.

I read that rogue is overpowered a while back, not sure if thats still true or if they're decent at solo play.

Thanks for any help you can provide

    Yup, hunters and warlocks. Mainly because of the pet, you're solo but at the same time... not. :P

    Shamans are good soloers too btw, bit like paladins only 100x cooler ;D

    Hunters imo, probably best to check the boards at there site though. But so far I can solo creatures 5 levels above me with my pet, totally different in pvp though.

    Yea paladins are great soloers.... also the slowest -.-

    I was grinding on my warrior, and in the same time this paladin next to me killed 1 mob. I killed 2-3...

    Hunter, BM specced is the best solo class in the game right now. It's unfortunate, but if you check to see what class the farmers favor, that will be your best solo class. Rogue would be second for alliance, then maybe warlock. Not sure about Horde, but probably rogue then shaman, or warlock again.
