Not from my perspective, but it depends on the information you were given. The information I received was that it was supposed to start at 6 PM Pacific time, which we haven't reached yet.

Took them awhile on Rift to get the servers up under extreme load. I think it didn't technically run for more then a few seconds at a time until the 3rd crash test? Props to Trion for doing there job.
We're currently experiencing issues with our servers for the stress test - please stand by folks! Thanks for your patience!
not surprising.. honestly no server structure currently available could easily handle the kind of stress put on by so many users trying to connect all at once.. happens with all MMOs... best thing would to have numerous login servers then filter the people through those into the game servers
