Flyff is comming!

Now i have personally never played Flyff but apparently their new website just opened today, and their Official final servers open on the 3rd of November!. i dabbled on ther site and saw that it is going to be a Free to play with Cash shop. Class Trees and skill trees look neat too! can't wait to play the game. I actually never did play in Beta! just giving everyone a heads up!

FlyFF reminded me a lot of an unpolished Priston Tale. I loved Priston Tale, even though I typically hate korean grinders. For some reason I didn't mind the grind even though it was hellacious.

But back on topic, try PT if you want that kind of game. I thought FlyFF was a bit lacking.

haha funny you mentioned that. I played Pristontale and in fact had it on my comp for some time(just downloaded it 3 weeks ago to play somthing while i waited for somthing to come up). I loved that mmo even though i sorta hated it at the same time. But i did really like it's style. Who knows maybe i will enjoy this game?

oh, I just recently uninstalled PT though(even though i loved it but it had horrible character customization) because i got my pikeman to lvl 35 and realized there was no more point in playing due to the fact I would have to pay at level 40 hehe.

heh, I played FlyFF during the beta. For a game with graphics that cartoony, it's a really good game. What sucks on it thought is the lvling. It's almost like maple story (Kill a monster at or 2 lvs above ur level, get .5-.8% xp toward the next lv.) But it has a lot of potential. plus flyng around on a broom or hoverboard while attacking flying mobs is awsome! it's all 3d, 3rd person (Unlike the overhead view of Priston Tale) Try it out in two days!

flyff rox, i played it for a while, i had a lvl 32 character but my account got hacked, so i started over and got to lvl 20 i think...

anyway, if you like to play a good mmorpg and you dont want to spend money on it, play flyff!

ow just this: indeed there are shops with items for real money, but you can also get the items by playing the game without spending 1 penny...

You can download the client at 12:01 GMT, 7:00 my tie ^_^. but can't play it untill the third sadly, god now that you told me it plays like pristontale(game that i actually enjoyed, in fact the only korean mmo i enjoyed) i realllly wanna play this thing considering its going to be live w/o any more whipes!

Also i hate the point/click system that these games have but I was reading a FAQ thinggy and it says you can play this game as third person using the WASD controlls, man i am so hyped up. thats somthing PT never had.

i think you can download the client at 12:01 PST, not GMT. right?

btw i dun't think lvling is hard for flyff compared to other mmorpg such as lineage,guildwar,etc. ::::33::

4 hours untill we can download the client hehe. And i am a college kid, i don't have the time to play strait to get to 20..plus i will be totally new to the game too hehe. But Good luck on you doing it. i am jealous.

yeah.. this time i also gonna test flyff .. but since its coming up with one of those dumb payshops that will seriously ruin the game... imagine all those freaks who think they live theyr life in an mmorpg and begin to spend da real bucks for some items.. oooo

Haha Servers came up and within 20 minutes they were taken down. They could not withhold the ammount of players internationally logging in and crashed basically. They are repairing them as we speak. This is a good and bad,,,seeing as to how lots of people want to play but they were just not prepared =P

Lol, yeah that was a mess. Well it was kinda obvious that telling people the exact time the servers were going to open wasnt a good idea. They must have known many ppl wanted to get in by the number of client downloads. They only had 2 different servers and everyone start at the same spawing point... lol...
Looked like a bunch of lemmings jumping arround ::::18::

EDIT: well finally got in and.. bleh. This is basicly a grind grind grind grind MMORPG with little cute graphics "ala R.O.S.E." with no content whatsoever. Pretty lame MMORPG if you ask me ::::07::

well....they had problems with network connections..

none of MMORPG are perfect. but certainly there must be some bugs,errors...anyway,problems will be fixed.

now, server is up... i just wanna play flyff rather than complaining the problems..

Its a small game but its really not bad at all compared to most of the asian ones.

Only reason i dont suggest even bothering, there are so many people and so few places to hunt its agony to even find something to kill and that wont change being that its free

And not totally unexpected-- one day in and its already overun by hackers, and the GM seems to be buddy buddy with them, lvl 60 in one day while legit players struggle to get to 20.

Can anyone help me because absolutelly no one has answered this on the flyff techy forums. I can get in the game and start playing but aproximitally 5 minutes ingame Everything freezes and i have to manually restart(the music keeps playing and the mouse is movable but altctrdelete dosn't work and neither does alt tab! This same thing has happened 5 times. the game is playable but only for about 5 minutes hehe..really frustrating plus all the manual restarts gotta be hurting my comp somehow. At the moment I just gave up. Any ideas?

-updated graphics card
-Downloaded some ATI patch they recommended but said it wasn't compatible when i installed it so i said forget it
-Restart comp....duh lol
-Turned off firewall
-Change Setting/resoluton
(all things i have tried that have had no effect)

Have you tried using a different graphics card? Back when I was playing Civilization IV it would freeze for me and it wouldn't load up under an ATI Radeon. I had to use my old Nvidia 5200 card and it works just fine now.

I'm actually enjoying FlyFF with their new update. Now, places that I couldn't find through quest had large letters when I entered the area and the new pets were walking vacuums. I always disliked picking up things with the mouse or F2 hotkey. I'm just that lazy. With my pet, I just hover over the item and it gets sucked straight to my inventory.

haha, I appreciate you responding to a topic/problem I had last year =P. I actually did end up resolving the issue though. It was that I owned a Laptop and that there were no drivers available from ATI for notebooks. but it seems to be alright now

. Fylff was a fun game while it lasted....but ehh...I like atleast some motivation when killing things, and attacking giant treasure boxes with teeth was just too "out there" for me to take in. Also it felt like my exp bar was barely moving(aka a big grind). But anyways, I'm glad you enjoy it. Man this topic is old.
