Of course ..its easier to intergrate a console audience if they take away all the difficult bits that us PC owners have to do.
B*st*rds. I have never known a gaming company to screw their customers over so thoroughly than SOE. How they survive is anyone's guess. SOE is a prime example as to why (with rare exceptions) large corporations shouldn't develop games.

sony/LA charing people $29.99 for a half-baked bs "expansion" then a week later dropping a bomb on re-doing the entire game totally a slap in the face to the player base. anyone who hasn't cancelled yet is a fool. They are porting this game to the console crowd...
SWG is dead, the unique game many players once loved has become a hodgepodge mix of fotm MMO ideas and crap.

I'm not a big fan of MMOs being implemented as console games. I can't image how dumbed down the game will have to become to adjust for the limited functionality of a game controller.

When I saw the changes the other day, this is the first thing I thought: "Are they trying to make this like a console game?"
I guess that answers my question.
Once they add collision detection its going to raise everyone's system stress by about 30%. This include video and CPU cycles.
Watch as some people are forced to upgrade their computers yet again.
But what do SOE or LA care about that? PS3 players will fill in the gap for them, they hope. Up until the ones that stayed decide to start warning them of who they are dealing with.

to even assume SOE is actually doing this, I thought SOE just screwed their own game
but having used us paying customers pay for the further development and balancing the game to "something reasonable" is really proposterous! They've ruined enough of my old memories in this game...
Ofcourse till I hear anything official this is just a rumor but such a thing wouldn't surprise me anymore and it seems logical for SOE to release such a game developed by themselves...

Umm...may I ask why everyone is suddenly so quick and willing to believe something on some foreign game site? For God's sake, they have S.T.A.L.K.E.R. listed on there as well...

En1gma, care to post a link to it? I'm not calling you a liar or anything--I just don't see it on there. There's some Prima strategy guide that is going on sale the 22nd of this month, but it doesn't say anything about it being for consoles *shrug*
EDIT: Never mind, I see what you're talking about. It does indeed say (Console) with a release date of December 2005, but why are there user reviews for it dating back to 2003, 2004?
