this was a great game, like the next generation of gaming. i loved the fact that if u could dream it you could do it in this game. open a line of auto shops. rocket scientist, gangster, a bum (lol) the list goes on and on. but it is a shame that they charge for everything and somtimes even purposly crash other players. i myself had a water side manshion with a yacht the whole shabang. i owned and sold rockets and made millions (literly). then i loged on one day everything was gone. my manshion my yacht all my money. my land was now owned by one of the lindens. (game creators and workers)when i reported this all they said was "acording to our records youve never owned that land, there is nothing we can do sorry"
it was a great game i really hope somone else makes one like it , but has more respect for there customers. the bad part was you could take a shit in this game and they would charge you another 10$ . i quit my subsciption. people have told me though that if u have lime wire downloads you could do some kind of thing with that to get a totaly free account. i understand though they have to charge somthing for the maintance of the game. Second life keeps uping there prices. id give it a year and like the oil prices people just wont but it. but i urge somone to make a game like it for a lower price>

Are you serious...?
Wow..
13557, what part of your story have you forgotten to mention?
I mean, let's be reasonable here. Do you seriously think that a company with a resposability towards over 75,000 customers would really one day cancel your account and just say "sorry, we can't do anything about it"? Let's be honest. They would never do that without a reason. Does anybody seriously believe that you could run a company like that?
I also don't understand the bit about the $10 and "being able to download something over LimeWire to get free access" Second Life is free, you only pay for land you own (ie. disk space where you're hosting 3D content). I may imagine they would cancel your account if you've neglected to pay for your bills for over two months, and then logged in again to see how things were going, and everything just disappeared. The "two months" aspect is a fundamental issue that you may have neglected to say in your report: it's clearly written in the Terms of Service what can happen to your account if you don't pay your bills...
Or did you neglect to tell LL your age and were moved to the Teen Grid instead and are now complaining that you have to start from scratch? Again, all this is written in the Terms of Service. You simply can't expect to go against the Terms of Service and "demand" things as you wish them to be.
I'm sorry if I sound skeptical. I simply hear all these half-truthful stories all the time over a dozen are posted every day and all of them miss a crucial point to make sense. Yours, I'm sorry to say, doesn't make any sense to me. And crying out loud "it's true!" won't make it more truthful. Explaining the reason why LL cancelled your account would be much more helpful to the MMORPG.COM community, as a warning of the kinds of things that can happen to people that overlook the Terms of Service, just thinking it's just a bit of "legalese" that you can easily click on and simply forget about what was written there...
