I am playing on an 2Gh AMD 64, 1128 Mb RAm, 128Mb Radeon x200 IGP graphics adapter, and cable modem. My system bogs down so bad the game is unplayable. My CPU is constantly maxed out, and the game seems to leak memory badly -- Page file usage grows very quickly without stopping. These problems only occure with CoV. Anyone else have similar problems or suggestions (Play NC Support promises they are "looking into it").

I've upped my Virtural memory in my computer. A 512 MB stick now uses a 1500 - 3000 MB Page file. Just a temperary fix till NCSoft can get it fixed. However during the beta many people used safe mode (all special effects low or off) to help get past this. Try turning down all the graphic settings and turn them up a little at a time to see how your system will perform.
I am already running all video/sound options set to minimum, and the game is unplayable long before my page file usage even reaches the amount of RAM I have (i have 1.25 gigs of RAM, and I can't play when total system usage is 750 Megs).
Other then driver updates for your ATI card or motherboard, or uninstalling and reinstalling the game there really isn't much you can do on your end but wait for NCSoft to find out what is going on.
Not what I wanted to hear, but thanks for your help. I have current drivers and have tried a completely clean install. I did get upgraded to actual an actual support technician, so maybe there is hope.
Yeah I am also having the same problem while playing CoV,while i do not face such problems when playing CoH. I think their programmers working on this.
Thanks,
John
YEA!! SOLUTION!
change the 'Target' line in the properties of the shortcut to:
"C:Program FilesCity of HeroesCohUpdater.exe" -useTexEnvCombine
graphics kind of suck, but the game runs fairly well -- it definately has to do with the ATI adapter
Cool!
Well lets hope that either Cryptic or ATI get a fix on this soon. I've got a Nivida card but even I have memory problems....
