Nobody can answer this but you alone. A lot of people seem to like WoW, others dont like it. You cant rely on how others feel about WoW to realy know if you will like it or not.
All we can do is tell you what we like about WoW and maybe then you can guess if you will like it as well.
Why I like WoW: - lots of quest - roughly 20%-40% of exp comes from questing, thus grind is almost completely gone. You CAN grind if you want, but it is not necessary. - Class differences - each class plays as a whole new game - Fun PvE and PvP alike - Graphics are beautiful, fluid and rich in color ( this is however up for individual taste ) - No forced grouping - Very Casual friendly - Has murlocs
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

EVE and "Great Action" do NOT go together.
Eve is hours of boredom punctuated by 30-45 minutes of intense PVP... followed by hours of boredom.
Unless you're independantly wealthy and can afford to replace your ships repeatedly.
Older players seem to forget that it costs a lot of credits to keep your PVP ship in shape. And when you get dusted it takes a while to recover unless you are very wealthy or have some rich backers or your corp bankrolls your PVP.
And even then it's STILL mostly boredom punctuated by brief periods of action.
Take youre EVE fanboyism elsewhere. It's a very solid game but "action" is hardly a word I'd use to describe it.

See there's your problem. To PvP you shouldn't be relying on yourself, but your corp and alliance. Otherwise pvp is smalltime. If you're in a good alliance or corp or both, then your pvp ships will more than likely be paid for if you do your part in helping them out too with whatever you can.
(Since all threads end up talking about EVE)
But my on-topic response is that I've played WoW, but not KO. I highly highly suggest finding someone that has WoW and then if they have the 10-day buddy pass get it from them, or find the 10-day buddypass from someone else. I decided to try out WoW for free before I dove in and paid for it, and I'm highly unimpressed. I can't play for more than 2 hours straight because my eyelids get heavy. (Not bashing, just pointing something out.) The game just isn't for me. But it is fun, especially if you're looking for a game you can solo most of the way through. So it could be the game for you, but for the love of God don't throw money on it before trialing it. (This goes for any game imo)

it depends if you know where to look for action and if you know how to make the most of your time playing EVE.Like, If you're looking for NPC enemies, go to any asteroid belt in systems rated 0.9 and lower. You'll find enemies soon enough. If you're looking for actual players to fight, go to 0.4 and below, but prepare to get killed.

Based on the fact that you're asking people to compare WoW to Knight Online, I'd have to say go with KO.
