Is there any pvp progression in this game? I have a buddy trying to get me to play it with him but I am a pretty dedicated PvP'er and I love PvP that is actual fighting. While I do know they have such things as Huttball and what not, my question is do they have some other type of pvp at all that does not feel like a mini game type of thing?

there is more open pvp in this game currently than there ever was before due to the more players on each server.
you will get in fights quite a bit, especially if you initiate it.
that said, it still isn't that great because a lot of the areas you quest in (especially at low level) you do not share the same areas with the opposing faction.
some planets you are actually the only faction active on that planet and its impossible to find any open pvp.
at higher levels you will for sure have little problem running into the opposing faction.
