Roleplaying

Does anyone know any mmorpg in which you actually roleplay? I played Darkages for some years, but now its roleplaying is fading.

WOW. Im a big roleplayer and if you play on either the RP or RPPVP servers you will have a very easy time finding others to RP with. I also recommend SWG if you play on their unnofficial RP server. They have plenty of tools for RP. If your considering SWG wait till after the big change this month. Good luck.

For roleplaying, NWN persistent worlds.  Look around to see which one's lore and game mechanics fit your playing style.

Um...pretty sure GW doesn't have a roleplaying server (everyone plays in the same world AFAIK...unless it's an unofficial "chanel" I haven't heard of), and with its current community there is NO roleplay element at all.

One of the things we'll be doing in The Chronicle is tricking people into RolePlaying. They might not talk like it, but it'll be interesting to see people actually working to progress the story the way they want it to go.

A lot of games have RP servers, most people just try to pretend that they're not there. In MxO I had to go on one to hear a special meeting that was only on this RP server... scariest thing I've ever done in my life.

Not a RPer myself, but from what I have played, EQ2 seemed to have the best content for a RPer... Mature community and a great character customization... However, you gotta live with the fact that IG content is being sold for real money, while SOE also charges money for every new zone (or what they call "expansion") they bring in. If you can live with that, EQ2 is a good choice I guess :)

as someone already said, every game has its market. so if you dont know a game, therefore dont have your own opinion, you should base your opinion on the majority. if 1 person says a game sux, you cant go on saying it sux. but then, the majority in not ALWAYS right.

and i heard a good deal of bad stuff about ROSE and Flyff, but i never played either, so i cant tell if it is or not good.

Anyone that has played them wanna share their opinion?

Is Rose the really, really cute one where you have to kill eleventy-one bajillion jellybeans? I don't know why, but those games with the cutesy graphics, make me really hostile. I know it's me, but I try to stay away from them. I'm afraid they'll make me go all PvP at the grocery store or something.
