So I got a level 80 in GuildWars 2 and honestly I dont even feel like playing now what is the point I will explain.
1. I went into the level 75 areas I got some level 80 gear all other gear is level 70 lower stats but it takes 5 hits or more to kill a single mob.
2. Confusing Crafting System, I feel crafting sucks in GW2 it was released on August 28, 2012 based on google, and the game itself is meh crafting why don't they just give me a crafting list of things I can craft instead of learning recipes which is pointless make it easier.
Crafting Recipies should also be sold at merchants in the same location for all levels of recipies no need to travel around and look.
Take for example a crafting system similar to Skyrim, or Kingdoms of Alamur.
Did any mmo actually offer this, yes DarkFall, EVE Online do.
3. Instead of cosmetic armor allow me to wear my pirate outfit in combat, seriously GW2 cash shop sucks big times, I dont ever purchase anything from there besides some stones thats it everything else sucks. Instead consider making the cosmetics a second space like Runes OF Magic, Rift, allow users to store armor pieces in a second inventory window and equip them for cosmetic armor/dye them instead of stones its pointless and pathetic that it can't be convinent for me.
4. Why do I need to even go to a NPC to claim an item to my inventory or gold now.
5. Get rid of the actual Servers so people can play together when they login merge all the servers together. (Not a lame guest system.)
6. Merge the acution houses together,Fix the economy I mean seriously it takes lots of farming just to even make a profit off of raw materials now I can make more money mining in EVE Online than I can in GW to even buy armor for my level I can buy a new ship in EVE in hours if it blows up or something in GW2 its lame because of all the botters who botted wood I mean look at the acution house you can tell who bots who doesn't.
7. Mystic Forge is too confusing as well doesnt explain how to use it or anything, make the game less confusing better play experiences.
8. Fix it so exploration one character applies to all characters on that account or players have the option to have this done so we dont have to constantly do the map over and over again if we dont want.
9. Make WvW Not Gear Based only allow items that are obtained within the WvW area for combat in WvW similar to arena no PVE content, but allow characters to fully customize it to any appearance in the games database aka what they can wear in PVE.
GW2 in my eyes is a total failure, I admit people who are not MMO addicts like the game, the game is fine it is fun to some but to me there was nothing new about it on release nothing dynamic at all, I can tell all the events are just run by computer controlled AI Scripts on a server and when I play a game with Dynamic events I dont want to get that feeling I want to experience it is if I am actually part of it not see an orange circle apper on the map after all really how did I know to go there (RP speaking.) In GW2 I guess we must have 2 way radio's or ESP.
Bioware and Trion makes indirect claims to beat WOW and they are ripped apart by people especially GW2 fans for being cocky and obnoxious. But when Mike O Brian makes a direct statement about beating WOW somehow it is acceptable and defined as a 'goal'. I am used to double standards on these forums nothing new. The whole statement by Mike O Brian that i posted earlier is obnoxious.
Only because you keep using the word 'jaded( doesn't mean it applies in this particular discussion. Every dick and harry wants to beat WOW and have been using this cheap publicity stunts for past 8 years now. And we know how it has turned out so far.
EA said very clear (and arrogant, as always) that their target is WoW. Nothing indirect about it.
They even opened enough servers at launch to hold that many people lol
I said you to link all those "direct and obnoxious" things, not blow steam and be even more jaded.
more things to do as guild pve vise... if raids is the answer even that.,.. besides if they implent that with the thought that its not OP and madatory to do raids, but is just another casoual way to proceed on everything..as dungeons is now more or less just for more people...something to have to do with the guild mates..

Go back and read i am not goign to copy paste again. But thanks for making my point. When EA does it , it is arrogant and when Mike O Brian makes claims to beat WOW its a 'goal' set by Anet. Hypocricy 101. And i don't know where i said 'all those' because i have only been talking about that quote which i copy pasted earlier.

After reading the thread about sexism it got me thinking that GW2 breast physics are a little lacking.
Oh, and let people make fat toons if they want.
They've proven already that they can't handle making the models any bigger. All the bigger models have their arms and hands clipping through their legs, and one handed weapons are pretty much entirely inside the character, at least at the beginning. lol
Looks awful. But if you wanna be a fatter guy, roll a Norn.

This.
I play Guild Wars because it's supposed to be highly guild based. As of right now there isn't much PvE content to do with my guild beside dungeons and we have already about wore those out. We need more guild stuff.
It's got nothing to do w/ violence Mike. It's all about entitlement. Most gamers now-a-days expect every game to be catered specifically to them, and then scream bloody murder when this isn't true (which is pretty much always). Most people have forgotten, or never knew, how to appreciate games for what they are, and to think about them in the perspective of how the game was actually designed, vs. the perspective of 'what do i want'. This mentallity gets reinforced on this site, because there is fairly unreliable moderation, and little that can be done about trolling (provided the trolls are actually careful about how they word their posts). If you call out anyone for trolling, according to this site, you are therefor a troll yourself, and immediately get warned / banned.
*snip*
this 1000x... obviously everyone has differn't values in what makes a good or bad video game but just generally feels so many(not just on this site it happens all over on every forum) feel if the game doesn't cater to their every wish its garbage, a failure, ect ect.. oh and i agree with most your change recommendations would be welcomed changes:)
Therein lies the problem. Up until recently, practically every AAA MMO created post-2004 was attempting to cater to one crowd. Let me rephrase that, they were created by one crowd. The, "We want 12 million subscribers like WoW!" crowd. Instead of trying to be innovative and fresh, developers and publishers alike saw the dollar signs, continued to create and then hype subpar, derivative products and now here we are today. It's 2013 and they've finally realized they can't pull that ol' song and dance anymore.
I agree that some people have unrealistic expectations, but we're not exactly swimming in choice at the moment. Entitlement? Perhaps, but I think it's also due to a lack of diversity within the genre. It's difficult to find an MMORPG that suits your style when so many companies are using the same, "Develop MMO by numbers!" guide book.

by meaningful interactions between players, are you referring to OWPvP (a.k.a ganking, greifing, and that sort of thing)?
Actually, I'm not, though real PvP might be a part of it too.
I'm talking about real social, economic, or political meta-systems in-game in a truly persistent and evolving world that take advantage of the potential virtual society of that world.
Current games intentionally limit the impact players have upon each other, and GW2 is no exception. The potential for meaningul player interaction, sanctioned by systems within a game, goes so much deeper than just players murdering each other. GW2 missed the boat, and created just another single player game that you don't play WITH other people, you play AROUND other people.
