Save your money and wait 10 days.
On the 15th you can download a trial version for FREE and try it out.
Right now, if you pay, you have to wait and wait to try to get into the beta... if you are lucky.
On the 15th it is free and you are guaranteed a spot in the noob zone, which is what is on beta... no high-end content or frogs.

One tip.. if you are gullable enough to drop change to never get into testcenter...
When you get stuck on the ramp of the Falcon.. plant yourself there, turn off the sound and wait. They're telling you to logoff, but that fixes nothing.
All in all, wait ten days.

I wasn't really all that into SWG when I did play it. Been toying with the idea of coming back recently. As much as people hated jedi's. I must admit a certain urge to try one in SWG. Was always something I regretted not being able to do during my short time with the game. (As they weren't even in the game yet when I did play) So i'm thankful for the info you posted. I think I will give it a try in between (RFO and DDO testing) to see how I like it. If I do, I have no problem with going out and buying another SWG box. As I don't remember what I did with my old CDs or anything that came with the Box. Better still if my old account is even still there. (Played for only about 2 maybe 2 1/2 months after it came out)

All you would need to remember is your old station username and password
SWG should still be registered to the account and I think all you need to do is resubscribe. No CD keys needed 
If the trial thing you download doesn't include the entire game, download the old trial off File Planet and install that which was basically an image of the original game CDs. Install and leave over night to download the 2gigs or so of publishes
There is one reason to resubscribe, before 15th. From Erillion's FAQ:
"Do you have to have an active account to get all the rewards?
So if you don't have active account before 15th, you don't get all elder rewards.

Tutorial area is reset hourly. So you dont wait more than 1 hour, even if you ARE stuck. And I expect that bug to be patched away soon.

It isn't a bug.. it is a gate issue. The ramp is the gate that ALL of the players are trying to go through at the same point.
They won't fix this issue until they raise the server caps, plain and simple. The devs stated this, but then recanted with a BS "The fix is coming soon" message.
That's why they told everyone "log off for a half hour and retry" because that way the load lowers.
Oh, and if you aren't Jedi.. WHAT REWARDS????? You get the respec if you bring ANY account forewards. What magic juju are you talking about?

IV. New Veteran Player Loyalty Rewards
We are offering current active characters several loyalty bonus items in recognition of their status in the game community as valued veterans.
Elder Buff Increases to combat abilities, this buff can be shared with new players.
Elder Title In recognition of your status in the game as a valued veteran player.
Profession Re-Allocation Option All characters active prior to the introduction of the new game enhancements will receive a total of 9 re-allocation options or charges attached to their character to allow the player to test out each of the new professions once before choosing the final path.
Jedi Bonus Items Power-enhanced Jedi Robe and Lightsaber color crystal and the opportunity to play as transcended blue glowing Jedi character.
10 Additional Combat Levels New combat levels to explore from level 80 90.

Im definitely resubscribing, no question about it. Cant wait until november 15th, i need to try it right now!

Yeah.. I know about all that crap, but I doubt you won't get it if you resubscribe after the 15th. It just means any old account reactivated I'm sure. If that were the case they'd be saying you ONLY get it of you reactivate now, which they haven't.

can i use the station all access for 2 accounts? 1 EQ2 account and 1 SWG account. both have different user names.
I wish it were FREE.
You must purchase an account on File Planet before you can download the software.
Personally I will never pay for a demo. If a software company wants to provide a demo, they should provide me a way to get it and not make money off of their demo by making it available thru sites like File Planet.
